I'm going to play a campaing where I will be the intelligent of the group and the trapfinder.
My choice was to build an Investigator with a lv in inspired blade. Unfortunately my GM said the only allowed books are Core, Advanced player, race and class and Ultimate magic, equip and combat. Therefore ruling out fencing grace.
Is there a tier 2 optimization for a Dex investigator or should I just switch to a Str build? (fyi: campaign starts at lv 5 and ends around 8)

Level 20 campaign with monsters allowed. A player wants to be a lycanthrope and I might use some help.

Quote:
Ability Scores: +2 Wis, –2 Cha in all forms; +2 Str, +2 Con in hybrid and animal forms. Lycanthropes have enhanced senses but are not fully in control of their emotions and animalistic urges. In addition to these adjustments to the base creature's stats, a lycanthrope's ability scores change when he assumes hybrid or animal form. In human form, the lycanthrope's ability scores are unchanged from the base creature's form. In animal and hybrid form, the lycanthrope's ability scores are the same as the base creature's or the base animal's, whichever ability score is higher.

+2STR/CON while in hybrid/animal form is quite unclear: in the Werebear example it suggests that the bonusses are first added to humanoid form and then you take the best between humanoid and animal. In the Werewolf example looks like they first made the comparison, chose wolf's CON over human's and then added the bonus.

Which one is the right way?

Score gained by levels and reading manuals only increases the base creature scores right?
e.g. when choosing the best stat after going hybrid, base animal score would never be considered x+5(manual)+5(lv4,8,12,16,20), right?

Does a lycanthrope qualify for arcane strike?

How many class levels would a lv20 lycanthrope have? 19 or 20?
Since the template is just +1CR and gives no racial HD I think it should have no malus at such a high level.
What do you think?

Thanks,
Frankie Boy

Couple of questions about the Minotaur Double Crossbow:

1. "Due to its size and weight, you take a –2 penalty on your attack roll if you’re proficient"
Does that mean that a small creature is using a medium crossbow (therefore dealing 1d8 instead of 1d6) and a medium creature is using a large crossbow (dealing 2d6 instead of 1d8)?

2. Let's say bolts damage is 1d8+10. Would total damage be 2d8+20 or 2d8+10

I'm about to play a home made campaign with 2 other players.
It's the first time I'm allowed to try the Synthesist so here's my attempt at building one

Elduin, OrcsMinion:
Half-Elf Lv10 Synthesist

Attributes ROLLED
STR 12 (30 fused)
DEX 14 (18 fused)
CON 15 (19 fused)
INT 16
WIS 16
CHA 17 (+2 Racial +2 Lv = 21)

No Traits

Feats
1: Extra Evolution, Skill focus: Perception
3: Improved Initiative
5: Extra Evolution
7: Power Attack
9: Improved Natural Attack (Claw)
Possible next feats: 3x Extra Evolution, Dimensional Assault, Arcane Strike

Gear (we have 75% of the usual gold: 46500)

Belt of Physical Perfection +2
Amulet of Mighty Fists +1
Boots of Speed
Cloak of Resistance +2
Circlet of Persuasion (seems good since I'll be the party face)
Pale Green Ioun Stone, cracked (saves)

Spells

Kinda easy. Restore and Rejuvenate Eidolon, DDoor and utility.

Geal (Quadruped Eidolon)

lv5 and 10 increments in STR

18 Evolutions Points (14+2class+2feat)
-Large (4)
-Improved Natural Armor (3)
-Electric attacks (2)
-Rend (2)
-Arms (2)
-2xLegs (free)
-Strong Bite (1+1free)
-2xClaws (2)
-Improved Damage (Claw) (1)
-Pounce (1)
Possible next evolutions (18 more points): Huge (6) Arms (2) Claws (1) Immunities? Flight?

What he looks like:
88+72 hp, 33AC (37 with Mage Armor), Saves 12 12 15, CMD 33, CMB 19
With Power attack he attacks at +15(+17pounce) dealing
-Bite 1d8+1d6+31
-Claws (2d6+1d6+20)x4
-Rend 2d6+15 (is it right? Also, does it proc twice if he hits with all 4 claws?)

What do you guys think? Any advice? Did I make any mistakes?

Thanks in advance,
Frankie Boy

"The synthesist also gains access to the eidolon’s special abilities and the eidolon’s evolutions"
Does this mean that a humanoid Summoner, when fused with his quadruped Eidolon becomes a centaur with 3 pairs of legs and one pair of arms?
