Ryn often used sewers and underground tunnels to travel about unseen during the day and that was how Ryn met these Sal and the Scaleri Brothers (Durin and Damon). They had attempted a heist right at sunrise and though they managed to escape from the city watch, they were mortaly wounded. Wehn Ryn came upon them, the brother were both uncouncious and Sal could barely stand, proping himself up against the wall. Ryn offered Sal 2 choices A) Ryn will watch them die, and take what valuables they have for himself, thanking his Lord for providing him with unexpected wealth. B) In exchange for a small job, Ryn would mend their wounds and heal their brothers. Bleeding and beginning to loose conciousness, Sal agreed to Ryn's deal. As sal sank to the ground, Ryn set about stabalizing the brothers and then set to work on Sal. It was nightfall before all 3 were concious again. Ryn explaine dthe deal, He needed certain items, 9 in fact, that purchased togehter would raise suspicion, and Ryn was sure to be recognized. But if the crew were to split the list, they could procure the items without anyone knowing what rituals Ryn was preparing. Sal and the Scaleri brothers procured the items with little difficulty and when the left, Ryn was preparing for a ritual to bring him the "great power needed to serve his lord". Alas, Agents of Mitra were onto Ryn and followed the Scaleri brothers into the sewers. Finding Ryn's hideout, they returned to their captain to report and with reinforcements, returned to capture the renegade priest. when they arrived, Ryn was kneeling before a dark mist. They wasted no time in capturing him and disrupting the ritual, or so they thought. A deal had already been struck, and as they hauled the priest away, the devil watched from the darkness, a bone chilling grin on its face.
Rabbit:
I'm dynamite! An imp from hell that has aided Ryn in his search for more power. Known to Ryn only as 'Rabbit', the imp and Ryn have never meet, but have communed through rituals on a few occasions. Rabbitknows more than he has let on and eagerly awaits the day when he will be sent to Ryn's side, to serve the young master on his rise to power....
That pesky paladin:
Sir Balen of Karfeld, famed witchhunter, pesky paladin of Mitra, and thorn in the side of those still loyal to Asmodeus. It was Sir Balen that tracked and captured Ryn, the same man captured his mother and made sure she burned at the stake. Now, thanks to the same man, her son stands to afce the same fate as his mother.....
Prior to rise of House Darius, Asemodeus and a patheon of other deities were worshiped in Talingarde. Then these self righteous upstarts start a holy war against the Prince of Darkness and raise their supposed holier than thou sun goddess as the sole religion in the name of the common good! War, murder, religious persecution, my mother burned at the stake, where is the honor and justice in that? At least with the Dark prince you knew where you stood and everyone played by the rules. Now we are forced to live in fear, worshiping in secret, hiding from those who seek to destroy our souls. As if worshiping that b%%%# Mitra makes you above the old laws. Sure her faithful spout lies of thier goddesses love for every citizen of Talinagrde, but Mitra couldn't give to copper pieces about most of us. she only looks after her chosen, same for every other deity, but they don't lie about it. It is time to stop the lies and restore order, time to restore worship of the Dark prince, time for Mitra's faithful to die....
