About Fiora ZantusBackground:
'To my teacher, I hereby write you my latest update report on Fiora. I would have preferred to send it you by the Dream spell, if it was in my capacity, but you still remain beyond me in such matters. I trust this letter reaches you the way it always does, regardless of where you have wandered to. As you know, I’ve always tried my best to take care of the child you left in my care all those years ago. Alongside the other faiths in the cathedral, we always steered her in the right path. We disguised the symbol as a butterfly tattoo and instructed her in the ways of faith, all the way to where she finally became a true cleric. On the surface, she is a nice girl, cheerful and studious for her tasks yet getting into trouble just the same as other teenagers tend to. But now, I am worried. A Dream appeared to me, where she stood amidst an invading horde of goblins as Sandpoint burned, laughing, as a more sinister figure smiled at her from the flickering shadows, one glowing with Runes and vibrating arcane power. …I also saw myself facing off against a goblin dressed in nothing but excess jewelry, whose rhyming words themselves incinerated me to the bone. A… goblin ‘rapper’, he called himself, if that means anything to you. Even a group of seasoned adventurers were instantly shot and then eaten alive by a dinosaur and a vampire-like goblin with razor-sharp teeth. This vision – it was too vivid to not mean anything. Are you sure you erased the memories permanently, and that there is no possible lingering connection to the Cults of Lissala? I had a local wizard test her, and she unfortunately seems to possess aptitude for the arcane, despite never being trained in it. And just last summer, I suspect she took a boat to Crystilian to visit the encapsulated city along with some other Local youths – if she didn’t also tour the Calphiak mountains on the way out. Both sites are rife with Thassilonian lore and artefacts. And her room… I think I found components for arcane spells though she insisted they were ‘narcotics’ for use in our goddess’ rituals. Per Desna’s teachings, I can’t fault my daughter for wanting to explore and live her life as others of her age. But it is a father’s task to worry. What should I do? Is an attack truly coming? Is she more important to the Cult of Lissala than you either suspected or told me? Should I send her away or not? Do I tell her everything, or nothing? What would best keep her safe? So many questions, and I suspect not much time. Please respond at once. Your student now and forever,
Personality:
A teenage Desnite daughter out to make her priest father proud. May or may not be involved with various kinds of experimentation and exploration of forbidden sites the moment she can give supervision the slip. By day, a cheerful and polite cleric that helps out the townsfolk with whatever divine or more mundane issues that trouble them. Rather than waiting on them to come to her, she has a habit of involving herself actively with other people’s problems even if not strictly necessary. In her mind, it seems more in line with the wandering priest idea, and makes it easier to escape notice too! Goals:
-Protect the people of Sandpoint and her adoptive father.
-(Currently unknown to her): Find out the truth about her parents and heritage and investigate the cult of Lissala or related Thassilonian sites/activity. Secrets:
-Known to her and to me as the player: She might take the experimentation phase of youth a bit far and has friends involved with illegal substance abuse, provided by the Sczarni. -Known to me as the player: Was taken from the cult of Lissala during a raid as a baby/small child. -Unknown to me as the player: ? (Up to the gm!) About me as a player, from profile:
I'm a thirty-ish (vague because it makes me feel younger!) physician from the Netherlands. I grew up on the Baldur's Gate games along with the Super Nintendo RPG classics (Chrono trigger, Lufia, etc) and have been hooked on RPG's ever since. I started playing tabletop RPG's with 3.5 but it was a bit too complicated for a group of 14-15 year olds like us to really grip beyond a base level. I moved to D&D 4e from there and then to pathfinder when it became more popular around here and 4e died. Since I was working then and had the income to support it, I frequently travelled between Germany, England and the Netherlands for the weekend-long pathfinder conventions. I would have done this more often but had to skip last year due to becoming a dad and this year due to Covid-19. Having played most of the later seasons of PFS and through one AP (Wrath of the Righteous), I consider myself decently experienced in pathfinder first edition but not overly so. I still occasionally make a mistake here and there and keep learning from them. I'm not into rule-lawyering and try to avoid arguments about the rules at all costs. They tend to sour the experience for at least 1 person at the table. On PBP, I'm fairly new and have only started doing this last year. My first experience there was a bit rough since I had to try and get a grasp of things in the middle of a level 15/mythic tier 6 campaign that went pretty wild pretty fast! When the GM stopped there, I paused for six months and came back afterwards. Now, I am in 4 active campaigns and 1 mostly inactive one (see below!) On posting, I post at least once per day and try to make reactive and engaging (and hopefully amusing at times!) posts, following the stickied PBP guides and commendments on the forum as best as I can. If you want to check those out to get an idea of my posting style, the aliases are Sorogar,. Raesilia, Aradesh, Swaggy and Elrys. Generally, I try to avoid one-liner posts and try to include at least one or two things someone after me could react to. Crunch:
