Feral grins at the introduction and bows low, his eyes still shining silver like Janos' and the others'. "You can put the old crow's misgivings to rest, Kendra. The packs have a new alpha and the troubling period of chaos has thankfully come to an end." He smiles widely when he mentions a 'new alpha' but his gaze turns to Janos when Kendra offers her last bit of news.

"A child?" He laughs heartily then, the sound low and gravelly, "Janos! Congratulations! Haa haa haah! How exciting for the both of you." Though Feral's broad smile makes it seem as if he'd be ready to eat the child as soon as it was born, the wolf's words and manners belie his frightful appearance and suggest that he might actually be genuinely happy for Janos and Kendra.

Feral grins and spreads his long, bloodstained hands wide as a sign of peace. "Haa haaah, no offense taken, Janos. Dantrian's been quite forthright in that regard, after all. But he's missed his window for a cure, I'm afraid. For here I stand, yes?"

The wolf continues, his voice harsh and gravelly, "I'm sure we'll conspire and collaborate with the count, but the count can't offer Dantrian anything that compares to what we've already won for him: all the packs of the Shudderwood. I've taken in both halves of Sain's heart, you see. My place as Alpha is secured. As is Dantrian's. What better setting to study and understand than from the throne? Who better to keep the wolves in line and reign them in?"

"Dantrian musters his strength even now, Janos. You needn't be so suspicious. I'll part soon enough. But I can tell you now what Dantrian will say, though I'm sure you won't like it.

Mosswick's still flitting about, we've been jumping straight from fight to fight since the Stairs though and there hasn't been any real room to draw attention to him, alas.

Feral watches the exchange between Anton and B'yelka from a small distance, a small grin playing across his blood-stained maw. The towering wolf turns then to Janos and Drosil and asks in his heavy, gravel-filled voice, "Leipstadt, Janos? Truly? Ascanor has a few rather critical vacancies in leadership at the moment. Think of what the two of you, along with Kendra, might be able to do. I'm sure Anton would be happy for the nearby company. Dantrian would too, no doubt."

Feral looks up at Janos as he speaks, the towering wolf bent over Adimarus' still corpse. He holds Admimarus' heart, slick and oily and black, in one stained claw. "Yes we did, Janos. Heh heh haaaah." As if to punctuate the point, Feral crushes the heart in his palm with a low growl. "Yes we did."

He stalks back over to the fallen form of the necromancer Vrood and recovers the last half of Sain's heart. With a wicked smile, he devours it.

"There." Feral's tone carries an air of finality, of accomplishment. He looks back to Janos and the others, his eyes shining silver, "Ascanor will do nicely. Though I believe I now have business at the Stairs. When the remaining packs are brought to heel, Ascanor can begin to recover without worry."

"Come then, Adimarus! Why don't you show me what you think you can do with that little twig of yours! HAHAAHAAH!" Feral rips another cork free and downs the contents of a second vial as he continues his slow stride toward Adimarus.

Feral bites the cork stoppering a flask, tearing it free, and downs the liquid with a gulp. Casting the empty vessel aside, he strides forward slowly for Adimarus, stepping over the shattered body of Vrood, as a hungry, wicked grin spreads across his face. "I'm going to enjoy ripping you to shreds, pup!"

"Leaving trouble to the wolves is leaving it to me, Janos. I lead the Silverhides now, and to leave Adimarus breathing is to condemn the Shudderwood and Ascanor to his twisted, devilish reign." Feral glances to the ranger, and the others in turn. "Is that something you would so easily allow?"

Feral watches Vrood fall with undisguised delight in his eyes. As the necromancer's bones crunch to the ground, he chuckles softly. "Heh heh haah. An ignominious end for a craven wretch. How worthy! Heh haah haah!"

The towering form of Feral turns to his allies as other parties begin to arrive. He glances back to Adimarus when the demonwolf alpha addresses him and snarls, "Weaklings? Hah! You think these four to be weak? You're as foolish as you are ugly, cur. If I walk over to you, it'll be to rip the tiny heart from your puny chest!"

As B'yelka tugs on his overly large hands and urges him to depart, his expression softens as he looks from her to the others. "You all wish to flee? Now?" Feral's face hardens for a long moment, his lips drawing closed into a tight line before he nods, "Very well. If that's what you all want, I won't argue." As he speaks, the scant few scratches and bruises on his chest knit together and vanish almost entirely and he shifts forward slightly, positioning himself between his four friends and their seemingly many foes.

Ooof. Drosil man, your range increment stinks! 10 ft? Shoot man. So, with the penalties from fatigue, the negative levels, the 4 extra range increments, and penalty from not being proficient with Drosils, I can't imagine the fastball special would ever get Drosil even close. Alas. If only this floating jerk hadn't used up all my dang hero points!

Feral hacks as the hand's pustulence coats his tongue. He drops to one knee, coughing and spitting and glances angrily toward where he heard the chanting. As weariness suddenly settles over him, he growls between coughs, "Oh, I'm going to enjoy gutting you, whelp!" He takes a step forward, granting Janos some cover behind his own bulk before hacking again.

I don't know if it's because Feral's token is so big, or if it's the map working as intended, but I can't see anything on either side of me except for the faintest pie-slice of yellow to my left. Is that Janos? Feral's primary focus at the moment is to kill the hand choking Janos to death. Is there anywhere on the map (which I, the player, can't see) where I can move to be able to do that?

With the doors shattered and the way open for his allies, Feral glances hungrily up the wall at the remaining archers. He considers bounding up the wall and smiles darkly at the thought of dropping into the midst of the skeletal archers and crushing them to dust, but his concern for the others outweighs his thirst for wanton violence.

Striding into the tower, he sees Anton nod to the curtain and with a guttural roar, the hulking wolf rips it down.

As soon as Anton's arrows whistle free from his bow, the towering form of Feral bounds across the intervening field between the Five and the cultists and their skeletons. As he rushes forward, he uses his arms almost as often as his legs, churning up the damp, clotted dirt behind him in dark clumps.

He arrives with a frightful roar and a series of thunderous, overhand blows as he tries to shatter any remaining skeletons into dust.

He takes two heavy strides up to her before grabbing her tunic and cloak just below her neck and hitching her up into the air, holding her up in front of his massive maw and gleaming fangs. He growls darkly, eyes narrowed in cool anger, "Mind your tone, girl," before setting her back down, hard, and returning to his position in the front. Without looking back, he offers over his shoulder, "I'll consider keeping one alive for your self-indulgent questions. But only because you asked so nicely. Heh heh haaaah."

"Petros' killers did it; that's enough reason for me to try and put a stop to it. Kill them, their work, rip apart anything they ever touched or cared about!"

He then glances back at B'yelka and seems to frown. "What good will questions be, hmm? Every extra breath they take is just more opportunity for them to hurt one of you."

As the skeletons lumber into view, Feral seems ready to bound across the intervening space with savage fury, but Janos' shout causes him to check his step. Looking back at the ranger, the hungry gleam in his eyes fades as he rises to his full height rather than the hunched, predatory posture he'd adopted without realizing it.

"Let's not wait for them too long, Janos. Petros' blood roars for vengeance to be done!" As his anger and eagerness begin to boil over again, Feral doubles over as a brief flash of pain washes over him. His shoulders bulge, followed by his arms, legs, then chest and, in the span of a few breaths and a ferocious roar Feral looks at Janos and the others, though this time the wolf looks down.

Towering now at more than 12 feet in height and an easy match for any of the Primal pack, Feral chuckles softly as he looks at his massive clawed hands and rolls his neck, the thick, corded muscles rippling beneath his fur. He grins at the others before turning slowly to regard the distant skeletons. Raking his claws in the soil at his feet, he looses a frightful roar as he prepares for more violence.

"Could've been from one of those primals, but if it was the one who inflicted it was playing with their food. Stomach wounds kill slowly and painfully." He then glances back at the crumpled body and shrugs, "Or maybe they just wanted a snack afterward."

Uninterested in playing detective, the wolf snarls and pads onward, ready to continue their own hunt for this bone-plated necromancer of the Whispering Way.

A low growl rumbles in the back of Feral's throat as B'yelka approaches him, but he nods after a long moment of consideration. Though the flesh looks healthy after, the diva's magic did little to restore the scorched fur or to remove the stink of it from the derelict kitchen.

Snarling and flipping a table with an angry toss of one hand, Feral roots around briefly before pressing on to the next building.

Feral sniffs deeply, the smell of the tallow and wax overwhelming his senses briefly and obscuring the tell-tale musterings of the haunt. Just as Anton shouts, the hulking werewolf spins upon the door, silver eyes wide with fright. Even as his Desnan ally tries to push the haunt away, Feral's massive claws come up to his own throat and bring his face slamming down into the adjacent kettles.

The smell of burnt fur and flesh, and likely the sharp, searing pain, are plainly enough to bring Feral back to his senses. A low, pained growl rumbles angrily at the back of his throat as he picks himself up. When he turns to the others, the left side of his face is missing its fur and the flesh beneath is blistered, purple and rubbery.
