Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

So I hate to be that guy, but I think we should have Paizo take this game down.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun nocks an arrow to her bow and looses it at the nearest bandit. Without looking to see if it hit, she turns to her sapling companion.

"Wu nirs zsasuss ais ruz suhursr, Huhph Bsi'arsur," she whispers. "I zuhss saus ilai san usu!"

Composite Longbow (+1 Str): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Sylvan:
"We must protect our new friends, Ornmeil'lon. I will cover you."

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

No pokes required! I'm here. Things have just been crazy this week.

Faun Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Ornmeil'lon Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Faun creeps into the woods and prepares for the ambush, looking for a line of fire into the clearing. Ornmeil'lon follows the druid, but she could feel his unease with the situation. Thankfully, the treant's appearance helped the somewhat ponderous creature blend into his surroundings.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun listened intently, waiting for Svetlana to finish. She had a guess where this pair was fleeing from. "Did you come from the fort flying green and white? Does the name Sir Ismort mean anything to you?"

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun wakes quickly from her trance, alert and awake. She looks to Ornmeil'lon, trying to determine the problem and see that her ward was safe. The druid grabs her bow and lightly trots over to where Aris was standing.

"Who is pursuing you?" she asks the couple, her voice even despite the excitement.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Sorry, guys. Just got home from a two day trip to Chicago. I need to catch up and then post.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

"I am inclined to agree with Aris," Faun adds, moving her horse to follow the mage. "We don't have enough information to act accordingly. The last thing our fledgling nation needs will be a faux pas before it is born."

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun trots up next to Astor, keeping an eye on the man and woman on the wall. They were wearing uniforms, but something wasn't right. "Deserters?" she asks.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Hmmm... it would appear that my post was eaten last night.

Faun brings her horse up to a trot, careful to stay behind Astor. She could sense Ornmeil'lon's unease; a sentiment that she shared. Newcomers flying unknown flags were an important, and possibly dangerous, development.

"Perhaps we should approach them with some subtlety," she suggests. "Until we know what sort of people we're dealing with, maybe we should downplay our claim."

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Sorry about the lack of posting, guys. I had a beer festival for the past two days (and a week of prep before that) that ate up a lot of my time. It's all out of the way now. :)

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

"I can make light as well. I can also feed us, with magic or my bow. I can't, however, make berry wine." She offers Aris a wink. "I'll stay with Astor and Ornmeil'lon for the hour. I don't need anything."

When Astor and Faun hitch the horses, she'll try to relax them, offering them water and bits of dried apple.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Cool website, Aris. I'm a big fan of using other languages in my PbP games and this keeps me from having to try and pass Gaelic as Elven.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun smiles at Aris. "Tu irrui er warr, rairdas. Yar, I en Fusrusl. I heair llsun Rarduy, er nu nish ull uis cail ail dhair suslas ull dha wusrn. Whasa esa irrui llsun?" She looks to Ornmeil'lon, striding impassively alongside Faun's horse. "He likes you too. I can tell."

Elven:
"To you as well, sister. Yes, I am Forlorn. I hail from Restov, as do much of our kin in this corner of the world. Where are you from?"

She turns to Astor, but now her smile has a tinge of sadness. "Do you not know of the Forlorn? It means..." The druid searches for words. "We are orphans. Separated from Kyonin, we live among the younger peoples. Where did you say you were from, my lord?"

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

"I agree with Arisl'arial," Faun adds. "These criminals should be our first priority. As well as finding a suitable place to establish a home. Let us worry about feeding ourselves and keeping warm at night before we decide on anything else."

"Perhaps this Oleg knows something of the bandits," the druid offers. "Somebody that lives under their shadow must have some idea of the threat."

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

The hex map is cool enough. :) I can't wait to see the real thing!

Knowledge (Geography): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Faun rides alongside her companions, the conversational pace allowing her to more easily take in the landscape. They were discussing... something, but it was difficult to pay attention when there was so much sound around her. It was the song of the trees, how they swayed and danced and made sweet music in the wind. Before she might lose herself in it, the blonde human says something to snap her out of it.

"Did you say something about the fey?" she asks. Ornmeil'lon, her ever present companion, looks up at her expectantly. Sensing his scrutiny, the elf sighs and continues. "I'm sorry. I've been riding along and haven't introduced myself. My name is Faunlara Daedys, Faun if it pleases you. And this," She gestures to the treant. "Is Ornmeil'lon, my friend." The sapling bows his head, leaves rustling.

Faun turns to Alexis again. "I have these." Reaching into her pack, she produces a pair of wands. "These should aid us if we are wounded or to return our strength. They were given to me by our employers, so I suspect we have enough healing supplies for now."

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

That's a fair point, although because you're adding your own twists to the AP, I wasn't sure if Oleg would actually become a part of it.

I'll just assume that Faun doesn't know him.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

GM, does it make sense that Faun would know Oleg? According to her backstory, Faun has been traveling the borderlands for some time. She might have stopped at Oleg's for supplies.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Ornmeil'lon can sit, but I'm sure he's heavy. :)

I envision him as a tireless tree man, running alongside our horses.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun has a horse, but thanks. :) I took the Pioneer trait from the Kingmaker Player's Guide.

Post coming shortly.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Faun is probably best-suited for High Priest or Marshal, but she could also develop into a Councilor or Warden. Possibly even the secondary ruler.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Oh, duh. I see what I was missing. Sorry for the confusion.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you lack proficiency in a type of armor your ACP applies to attack rolls.

I think that's what this is saying.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Technically yes, but Ornmeil'lon can never take Proficiency feats, so it would cut into his attack bonus.

Female Elf Druid (Treesinger) 3

Hi everybody!

Faun is treesinger druid and the Medic for the expedition. On the hunt for her family's ancestral home and chances to grow her bond with Ornmeil'lon, her sapling treant companion, she'll serve as the party's spiritual guide and healer. And Ornmeil'lon can provide some decent melee. :)

Thanks for the invite!

This is Olmek, re-submitting Faun, the elven treesinger.

Instead of doing the typical backstory and personality stuff, I did a '10 Minute Background'. If you don't prefer this format, I'd be happy to change it back, but I find it provides all the necessary information in a concise manner.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments!
