Leaf Oakengate IV or as he prefers Faroth which is the elven word for Hunt, came from a long line of Druids and Nature Oracles. He never really did resist trying to become like his family, yet the magic just never came to him. Oh his family tried with everything they could. They brought him to countless practitioners, they sent him to faraway lands to visit the oldest druids, he took part in vision quests to find the nature spirits. His father was prideful and kept trying and trying to find someway until he himself after five years eventually stopped trying and saw it as pointless.

What Faroth was good at though was archery. He was called a prodigy by some of the older rangers in Kyoin. He found remarkable ways to make use of his arrows on hunts to make them durable and more easy to spot as he decorated them with peacock feathers. Strange as it might have been, he excelled in the killing of his prey, animal and non-elf alike as some saw him as a scion of Ketephys, the elven god of the hunt.

Whispers filled the air in Kyoin, and although Faroth wasn't able to hear as much he kept hearing the word Slayer used several times and about how enjoyed the kill. Faroth thought to himself often it wasn't so much the enjoyment of killing something as it was for the sport of it, though his elders thought differently.

The breaking point was reached when the council accused Faroth of killing another elf, the elf was found with one of Faroth's colorful arrows that was wedge in the heart of the slain elf. Nobody, not even his family knew where Faroth was at the time this took place. Magic revealed little. His punishment the council saw fit was to put him into exile for 500 years.

Faroth packed up and left at daybreak. He was stopped by his father, Leaf Woodcrest III who told Faroth the following in a whisper: "My dear Lea- I mean Faroth, know that although you are exiled that I and the Woodcrest house will always be thinking of you. That we love you son." and then he spoke with a louder voice and donned an intimidating expression "and that you have brought shame and disgrace to this family!" Faroth could tell his father was heartbroken to see this turn of events but that his father also did not want to show weakness as well. His father walked off as he tried to hide that pain of losing his only son that he cared about.

Faroth wandered the land, an exile. He wandered with no true aim. His travels took him to the land of Irrisen where he started a mission to save Baba Yaga as instructed by the withering and old Black Knight and took up the mantle. He is eager to help but first he will need to become stronger before he can start the next leg of his journey. He wandered away from Irrisen, hunting what he could and trying to become stronger until he came to a city and there he found the Pathfinder Society. This is how he joined the Pathfinder Society.

Faroth isn't much of a talker about his past or in general as all that matters to Faroth is to become stronger and to get the job done. Faroth often loves to cook treats from his homeland as it helps his heart feel lighter and help him remember of happier times before his exile.

However the magics are not lost to him. In time it will reveal itself to Faroth when becomes ready to accept the mystical gifts.
