I'm mostly just hoping they'll add in Verthani and Ryphorians as Core Races in the initial core rulebook (or at the very least as playable races in the first "Alien Core" or equivalent splatbook). Also, as long as playing as one of the two in 2e Starfinder Society isn't as unnecessarily difficult as it was at the start of 1e, that would be great.
I will admit that this is because I'm a fan of both species, but also they do feel like a reasonable choice for inclusion as an additional race;
- They're both the most populous species on their own planets
- Both of their home planets are in the Pact Worlds
- Each one could be incorporated lore-wise into the Pathfinder setting relatively easier than some of the other Starfinder races.
I will also admit that I'm operating on the assumption that because SF2e is meant to be easily compatible with PF2e, that the chapter on compatibility at the back of the SF1e book isn't necessary for inclusion, and thusly there will be more space for including additional races and class details, etc.
