Gene hesitated for a bit. After two years this finally seemed to be happening. Realizing that he was the last one to head down onto the pier, he started taking light steps across the planks. He quickly and easily makes his way to Donnen and takes a look around without getting on the boat.
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
"It is too dark for me to see much at all, my cunning friend. Tell me, have you discovered anything worthy of note?" Gene asks of Donnen in a hushed tone.
I am a little confused. How many acrobatics rolls will I need to make to catch up?
EDIT: After re-reading the posts I missed, I found no evidence of anyone crawling, though I remember seeing that. Well, the first question still stands.
Sorry about disappearing for a few days there, GM. There was a line rupture or something in my neighborhood and my internet was out again. But I found a cafe with free wi-fi that I can use in case it happens again. So, no more long absences for me anymore.
What do I need to do in gameplay to get caught up with everyone?
Gene nodded. "This one is quite eager. I like that. You have a good idea, little Bazzle. Let us waste no time. We should observe the fishery and attack the moment we see a worthwhile opening, lest Lamm's Lambs find us out and inform their master."
Gene had kept quiet. He had nodded murmured a few words as he arrived, but generally let the others in the room do the talking until now. And it made sense. He had known a mistress of the cards back in his own family. One of his aunts had had a small amount of gift for the Harrow deck. But this was impressive.
"This seems to be an incredible opportunity. I, myself, have had much difficulty in locating Lamm. I'm certain each of us is eager to get to the business of dealing this man incredible amounts of...justice... Who do we have the honor of owing many thanks to, my dear woman?" said the Varisian.
The market had been bustling already as Gene arrived mid morning. He made his way around, looking for a few things here and there. He made a few purchases and decided to head to the address early. He had waited so long for revenge, the anxiety was getting to him.
Eugeni strolled down Lancet Street, heading towards the address on the back of the card. He kept his attention on the area about him, lest someone recognize him from two years ago.
Just want to buy two bandoleers. At 5sp each I'll pay 10sp, right?
Raising his eyes from the card and the message written on it, Gene smiled. His luck seemed to be very good all of a sudden. It made sense, after the bad run he had last night. Who could have slipped this into my gear? Hmmm...
He finished putting his gear away, trying to think of what to do before meeting this person at sunset. Gene decided it would be best to procure a few more things from the market. He gathered everything together and began travelling down towards the street.
Eugeni woke up to a fluttering of wings. The pigeons were quite awake today even if he wasn't. His first night back in Korvosa hadn't been kind to him. He had gone to Hod first, but the gnome wasn't too happy to have been stolen from all those years ago, even if he had left plenty of valuables to cover the worth of the pistol. It had taken him all his guile to convince his old friend to hold on to some of his more valuable possessions for a few days.
After spending a few silver on drinks he looked for a place to sleep. His old apartment in the Singles was as out of the question as had been his past drinking haunts from his time as an artist. He remembered a bell tower that he'd fallen asleep in once with 'Dana. The memory brought a smile to his face last night.
This morning, though, it just brought a scowl to his face. As he licked the dryness of his tongue off onto his teeth, he reached around for the half-empty bottle of spirits that he had not been able to finish last night. Gene took a swig and shook his head, in an effort to shake the groginess from his eyes. He stared off into the bright blue of the morning sky and thought of better days, the carefree days.
"I suppose I should start figuring out how I am going to avenge you, 'Dana." Gene said to himself. He got up and started to pack his things, while going through his own mental lists of who was who in Korvosa.
Sorry, my modem died yesterday and i couldn't get out to a WiFi cafe last night. I'm on my phone right now. Apt to start work for the day. But I'll put a past up around 10:30 pacific time during my lunch. I'll have Internet back by the time i get home.
Thanks for the selection and I look forward to this game, guys.
Gene (Eugeni's nickname to some friends) tends to get in the middle of things and attack mercilessly. He's pretty focused on his revenge at the moment. However, he will still be intelligent about the way he goes about it. Also, he will use his dexterity and nimbleness to his advantage.
