I could do the opposite. I was a resident until the town was razed, and only now have I been sent back.

Share the good word and/or survey the recently cleared temple for damage. That works well enough. The Player's guide recommends at least one PC is a local to the town, so I'm wondering if anybody else has taken that mantle.

Mostly settled on cleric. Probably a pretty standard one, build-wise. Also will likely stick to Sarenare as a patron. Story-wise, undecided between a local and somebody sent on an extended task for the church.

Spiderbeard, permission to start at middle-age (+35) and the relevant stat adjustments? My concept has my cleric be a bit of an aging grump.

So, we have bard/cavalier and changeling ranger for set concepts, and a possible barbarian. I'm thinking of going with either an alchemist or cleric to focus on healing. But if somebody else wants that role, I can easily switch it up.

Checking in. Still gotta read the guide. But I'm cool with making any character to fill the gaps once everyone else has a concept.

For now, I'll tentatively settle on the Druid. Probably human, possibly elven. Though if somebody else really wants to play a druid, I can go with a different concept.

I'll try to stat him up this weekend.

Humanoids and sapient equines are eligible races, eh? Guess I should have looked closer at the allowed manuals. I'm guessing there isn't really a lore explanation for where they come from, everybody is fighting for survival and as long as you're not trying to kill people, they don't care what you look like.

So, got three concepts I'm considering:

- Drunken druid who'se given up on protecting the nearly destroyed nature and is drinking his life away, takes the job for some easy coin. (Probably True Neutral)
- Pit fighter/gladiator Brawler. Despite his violent, hard-bitten nature, has a core of idealism buried under a lot of cynicism.
- Wizard looking to find a way to get out of dodge. Mostly seeing if there's another world/plane he could travel to, or create his own demiplane, or SOME way of getting off this dying world. Neutral Evil, in the sense of being a selfish git rather than maniacally evil, though he could be some shade of Neutral as well.

Will admit I tend to prefer filling in gaps in a party's composition rather than starting out with a character concept, hence why I tend to come up with a handful of ideas. Anybody have any votes or preferences?

Slow progression, eh? I think I can squeeze in another game. Hmm, what to play? Alchemist? Brawler? Wizard?

Please, call me Trigger Loaded. This is just my placeholder account for applying for new games.

It's not an absolute given, but I'm thinking of a Dwarven Barbarian with an archetype.

Spiderbeard, what's the point-buy we're going with?

Ahh, good to hear I haven't missed that much. The reason I'm making such a deal about not joining in too late is because I'd like to experience as much of the adventure path as possible. It's likely the only way I'll get to experience them as a player.

Either way, I'm sure I can be given a summary of the events leading up to this point.

Is there a player's guide, Spiderbeard, like there was with the Second Darkness? At the very least, where in Golarion does the campaign start off?

Greetings, all. Aforementioned Trigger Loaded, taking a peek and wondering if I wanted to join in.

My main hesitation is how far the group is in the game, if you're continuing and not restarting. Hopefully I haven't missed too much plot, though the fact you're already at level 2 is a bit concerning to me.

Leaning towards playing a front-line class. Barbarian, Ranger, Brawler, possibly a Cavalier.
