About Erryl Drakoulias

Erryl is the youngest scion of the Drakoulias family, an old Taldan line dating back into antiquity. While his brothers and sisters were being groomed for the aristocracy with music recitals, etiquette, and backstabbing, Erryl was left largely to his own devices (barring the occasional dance lesson). He spent much of his time in the family library, pouring through dusty tomes and old maps, wondering about the people and places he read of. At first content to peruse local history, Erryl began taking "field trips" by himself to older structures, sometimes not in the nicest neighborhoods. Fortunately he was a charming lad and made friends easily. He began picking up skills from his "friends" that would allow him access to places he might not have had otherwise. When he was caught in the basement of a wealthy Chelaxi diplomat (to study the foundation, not burgle the house he insisted,) his parents sent him off to boarding school to avoid any further embarrassment. At school his horizons widened further. He practically took up residence in their archives and became something of an expert in ancient civilizations of Golarion. The one blind spot in his expertise concerned the old Cyclops empire of Ghol-Gan. Most of that section of the library had been burnt during a botched summoning. With his graduation money he booked passage to Port Peril in the hopes of getting some hands on learning in the ruins themselves. Careful not to dress up too much, he asked around and was directed to the Formidably Maid to see a man about a map.
