The construct takes a knee so Andra can dismount, and steps underneath the overhang, out of the rain. It watches the catfolk almost curiously.

As the rain begins to fall harder, Emmet extends a hand out towards Andra, and a mechanical umbrella pops up out of its thumb, opening to keep her dry.

"Mʏ ᴅᴇsɪɢɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ɪs ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴏғ ᴀ ᴘʀᴏᴛᴇᴄᴛᴏʀ ᴛᴏᴏ, Fʀɪᴇɴᴅ Cʜᴏᴍsᴋɪ," the automaton unexpectedly adds, turning to look at the small gnome. Its face isn't emotive enough to show any sort of an expression, but somehow it gives the impression of a gentle kindness.

The automaton's eyes seem to focus on the bird. "Pʟᴇᴀsᴇ sᴛᴇᴘ ʙᴀᴄᴋ, Lɪᴛᴛʟᴇ Bɪʀᴅɪᴇ. Mɪɴɪᴍᴜᴍ sᴀғᴇ ᴅɪsᴛᴀɴᴄᴇ: Rᴇǫᴜɪʀᴇᴅ." it says in a rhythmic voice like the chiming of a bell.

Andra smiles, stepping away from the automaton and to the edge of the bridge, where she retrieves a long stick from the ground. When the bird has moved out of range, she holds the stick out like she's toasting a marshmallow over a fire, making sure to stay at least five feet away. "Ok, Emmet. Go for it!" she says with a grin.

The golem lets out a chiming noise and then suddenly bursts into searing heat! Flames shoot out of the openings along its body and roar around it for a moment, engulfing the stick in Andra's hands before vanishing a moment later. The air around Emmet wavers with the sudden heat - but it's accomplished its goal. The stick in Andra's hands now burns with a flame she uses to carefully light the candle in Teacher Ot's hands.

Andra uses the "Explode" unstable action to vent Emmet's internal heat, dealing fire damage in a 5-foot radius. Unstable Action (Flat Check): 1d20 ⇒ 11. An 11 is a failure, so unstable actions are disabled until she can take 10 minutes to tune up Emmet's systems again.

The golem turns to Andra. "Hᴇᴀᴛ ᴠᴇɴᴛᴇᴅ sᴜᴄᴄᴇssғᴜʟʟʏ. Wᴀʀɴɪɴɢ: Pᴏᴡᴇʀ ᴄᴏɴᴅᴜɪᴛs ᴇxᴄᴇᴇᴅᴇᴅ ᴇxᴘᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ ʟɪᴍɪᴛs. Exʜᴀᴜsᴛ sʏsᴛᴇᴍ ᴏᴠᴇʀʀɪᴅᴇ ᴅɪsᴀʙʟᴇᴅ." She sighs at the construct, smiling. "Ah well, that can happen. I'll fix you up in a bit, don't you worry." She pats the golem's leg, which seems to have rapidly cooled and returned to a normal temperature.

If anyone is wondering about visual inspiration for Emmet 2.0, think Baymax. He's gentle and looks big and imposing, but not intimidating. He moves in a similar manner - precise rotations and direct, jerky movements.

The construct tilts its head to look up at the bird, and stares at it with glowing eyes for several seconds. It raises a hand to the raven and extends a finger for it to perch on.

Among the gathered students, one stands out due to her unusual mode of transport - a young Varisian woman with an excited, curious expression rides on the shoulder of a massive automaton which dwarfs even the tallest of those fathered nearby. When the group reaches the bridge and its members are met by Teacher Ot, the construct bends down to allow its rider to dismount.
