About Em and Mr. Cuddlesworth

A quiet halfling summoner who joined the Dark Archive shortly after its formation. It isn't clear if she is male or female, but he seems to enjoy keeping it ambiguous. Em's Eidolon, who she only refers to as "Mr. Cuddlesworth", is a tall and slightly disproportionate looking humanoid wearing an ornate, old, and dirty hooded black robe with a smattering of dark stains.

Mr. Cuddlesworth's hands and face are the only exposed parts of his body. Both seem to be flat white and textured, as if a bleached woven burlap, or gloved. The glowing summoner's rune marks an otherwise featureless face. During combat, when he opens his mouth, a thin line appears and rows of teeth erupt from the gap, devouring anything it can get a hold of.

Em is a member of the Sarini Chelaxian noble family that has been struggling ever since the Thrune family took over long ago. While on the surface they have perpetuated the Devil worshipping that was imposed on them as well as a form of submission to House Thrune, during the civil war a small sect sought out an alternative route to power, binding entities from Abaddon to their will. While halflings are normally considered only useful as slaves, this sect of House Sarini partially brought her into the fold as an experiment. Broken down and rebuilt as they envisioned, Em was trained to bind the powers of Abbadon as a mix of assassin and secret weapon in the ongoing struggle between the houses. He was sent out into the world on several missions, but on an extended trip learned that the sect had been purged from the Sarini family before House Thrune discovered them, leaving Em on her own. He joined the Pathfinder Society to as an opportunity to continue her education and search for power. Without any connection to those who wielded control over him, Em has been slowly discovering who she is, was, and will become, and what to do when she finally decides to return to Cheliax.
