Can you still take the Raised by Belief background (from Lost Omens: Gods & Magic) if your alignment differs from the deity in whose religion you were raised. The flavor text made me think so: "You might remain committed or you may have turned from your childhood creed, but your skills are still founded in your devotion...", but HeroLab is telling me that I can't, which made me question my interpretation.

I wanted to play a Chaotic Neutral Rogue who was raised by a priest of Pharasma and has this background. Of course, Chaotic Neutral is not an allowed alignment for a follower of Pharasma, but as the character has left the church and is no longer a follower, do I still have to abide by the alignment restrictions to take this background?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I just want to make sure that I have this right. The Table of Generic Prestige Awards in Table 5-4 on pg. 26 of the Guide to Organized Play, includes "Free purchase up to 150 gp" for 1PP and "Free purchase up to 750 gp" for 2 PP.

To me, it seems as though these choices are independent. That is to say, once per scenario you can spend 1 PP on an item worth up to 150 gp AND 2 PP on an item worth 750 gp, for a total of 3 PP spent. Is this correct? This has always been my assumption, but as those two selections share the same footnote, which speaks of a "single item", so some doubt crept in.

Sorry if this has already been covered on the boards, but I wasn't able to find it.

This may be a dumb question, but I can't find a definitive statement on the subject in the forums (or perhaps my search-fu is just off today).

I know that your allies can provide cover to your enemies from your ranged attacks, and that enemies can provide cover to you from ranged attacks of other enemies. But can your allies provide you with cover from the ranged attacks of enemies? It seems that the answer should be "yes" based on the language in the Core Rulebook, but, the use of the word "creature" in the "Soft Cover" section of the CRB has me doubting myself.

What's the right answer?

I have a player in my group who wants to play an Ascetic Acrobat from the Multiclass Archetype project. This looks like an interesting Archetype, but I'm concerned that it's overpowered. Consequently, I am looking for advice from those who may have seen this archetype in play. How did it work out? Is it OP or not? Should I be concerned?

Another issue is that this player wants to play a Drow with custom racial features swapped out for the standard Drow features as set out in the Advanced Race Guide, albeit within the 14 RP budget in the ARG.

I'm concerned that so much monkeying around with the classes and races will lead to unintended consequences, most notably, this character overshadowing other players.

Any advice?
