More cold damage it is!

Oopsie doodle! Awkward moment time! Turns out there was a mix up on our end. Yeah, we're going to have to send you back to do it over.

Lady, don't even. You have no power in my world.

Correction. We put out the fire by collapsing the roof.
...And we set a new fire. We're probably not going to be invited to any libraries.
Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays.
Oh, no, that one was intentional. We saw a spider.
More exoskeleton hate. Does it ever end?
Seriously! What did we ever do to you?!

No idea...

Well...the internet is as potentially faulty as any other creation.

...And if I said you reminded me of my own father?

Have you considered that perhaps the reason people have such a strong reaction to you is that you completely and utterly extend an extremely rude gesture to the natural cycle of the world, more oft than not against the will of those you wish to call family?

I just wanted to get rid of it as well. And as long as we were moving it, why not present it as a gift so it wouldn't be mistreated on the Shadow?

Kingmaker night was last night! Party is finally in Armagk's Tomb and duked it out with the Black Sisters. I was using an amped up homebrew version of them that revived them as mummies two rounds after they died, but given it was 11:30 by the time the second one dropped, I decided to ignore that bit of their statblock and just let them finish the encounter instead. Two dead clerics and one captured bard who the party is debating whether to kill or merely cripple after interrogating. (They killed her before, once, but she got teleported away by a contingency and got resurrected.)

She's all but certainly working for the Aspect of Envy. Crippling her would be both needlessly cruel and have the great potential to backfire horribly. We've already seen she knows priests powerful enough to do better than repair any damage we cause - and even if we destroy their remains, the funny thing about an underground cult is that there's always another sect somewhere-, and the last thing we need is to have her running around as yet another potential wildcard with an increased need for vengeance. Get the information we need, confirm there's no way in Hell we can alter her loyalties, and make it a quick death. She's caused enough damage we're going to have to repair already, and unless she proves herself key to reversing said damage, I can see no logical reason to keep her around and growing more bitter by the day.

Never seen Leverage, but thanks! I was actually going for A:TLA. But there wasn't time to research omens enough to be convincing, military intelligence focusing more on how badly they are going to slaughter us than local custom, so polymorph and lying was easier.

...it was only supposed to buy us a day or two at best!

I really wish we could have had a few more years to prepare. At least until everything else can take a turn out of the spotlight...

Yet if we hadn't called you in, it would have in all likelihood been assumed that the dragon they did see was the representative and forced the escalation anyway. Better to at least have the intended player on the scene.

I did not throw that pen. Lilith took it from me and threw it. Why would I waste a perfectly good pen when I hadn't yet cast any spells for the day?

Listen, Dad, we need to talk. You're starting to collect too many pets from Iomrall's leftovers. The neighbors are getting suspicious.

And this one smells bad. Really bad.

Property values are down, we're getting bad reviews on the noteboard at the World Serpent, and I think most of all, our complaints department is not 99% full of "Errol did something again".

What's he done this time?

Oh, and of course, Lilith...not to mention the constant hijinks of your...I really don't know the proper term here. What exactly is your relationship with the Trickster seeing as he could technically be seen as the father of your new race as well as that of your children...

She offered willingness to continue alliances and aid both directions, up to the point of offering herself as bride to Casimir (or another heir of the Vanguard Lord's choice, as the case might be) if that was what was needed to seal the deal.

If I may...I merely pointed out that I was aware of the most traditional form of alliance between two parties and that it may be a problematic solution in this specific case.

Man, that's going to be fun.

It happens a lot more often than you think, but usually with the less canny mortals. It's been eons since one so powerful was so careless with his offerings.
...Surprisingly, that actually does make me feel a little better about my own debt.
Some, on the other hand, are so stingy with what they hold that they would not dare even the smallest risk regardless of the reward it promised.
Oh, I've had plenty of risk and reward for one lifetime.
Even one so long as your own? It is looking to be a boring handful of future centuries for you, I imagine.

Oh, but that's just it! You've already given me so much, I wouldn't dare ask more!

A land of second chance are we
No matter what your plot may be
We've earned this right through tears and sweat
Its fields with our lifebloods run wet
This is my home and who there dwell
Shall cower not to coward spell
I've bought this land; we will be free
You cannot take this sky from me
