Description:
Elderbrant is 52 years young, with daring silver hair, dashing blue eyes, and a ravishing mustache. He is slight of frame and weighs only 165lbs. Typically wears a white coat with his chain shirt worn under.

Elderbrant Heirbrine was raised in a modest yet caring home in the woods by his mother and father for a peaceful, yet, poor upbringing. But he was quite satisfied with this that was until, his parents were slaughtered by bandit raiders as he hid under the mattress! Now an orphan on the run he has sworn his veng- Haha! No, no that would be giving this middlish-aged man far too much credit. That's not quite the kind of hero he is.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we? Elderbrant Heirbrine was born the third of three sons of the exceedingly wealthy head of the Heirbrine Silver Estate. As a child of the owner of the largest silver producing estate in all Golarion, one can imagine, Elderbrant never wanted for anything in his life and, as the youngest of three sons, nothing was ever expected of him in return. No, Elderbrant merely wasted away his time with frivolous pursuits and flights of fancy as the silver, stamped with his family emblem (a boar with a spear piercing it through the skull) went out and the coin came in Elderbrant was left well alone to enjoy life handed to him of a silver platter, as it were. He never had a thing to do.

And why should he?

Being the youngest of three sons to a wealthy estate had its advantages after all. Unlike his eldest and middle brother, who were always being hauled off to important meetings or inspect the mines or processing, Elderbrant never had to lift a finger. After all, the Heirbrine estate already had its heir and spare, Elderbrant was really just an extra, an after-thought.

Of course, this had its downsides as well, one can imagine. Not being, in any way involved in the family business, Elderbrant was lucky to catch any of his father's, or mother's, attention at all. Elderbrant tried not to let it show but this did send a few pangs of jealousy through his heart from time to time. When he saw mother and father dote endlessly on their precious boys while he was left to the servants. He developed the habit of clutching his fist three times to calm his emotions. Jealousy was unbecoming of a young man of his station after all.

It took him many years of life spent frivolously spending his family's money, attending every royal ball and gala, shmoozing his way along with nobility, getting drunk, and reading every book in his father's vast study before Elderbrant resolved he was going to do something about this! He would do something to catch his father's eye! To prove to him that he had worth! But, what? The noble art of music!? Of course!

The youngest Heirbrine went through many years of training and many trainers, many trainers, seemingly a new teacher every other week really. Something about him being unteachable? Mutterings of it being the worst sound to ever defile their ears? So utterly profane even the devils of Hell would shudder at the sound?

Bah!

What do they know? Elderbrant had learned some of the basic notes, he could even get the instrument to do some pretty neat things from time to time, like light up a room, or strip the dust clean off an object. So what if the instructors couldn't grasp his genius? Elderbrant knew he was good, better than good, he was exceptional. And he knew he had the talent to be the very best musician of them all some day, even if he was getting a bit of a late start, he needed this, to prove his worth to his father. But he wasn't quite there yet.

He needed something.

Something extra.

Something beyond the pale.

Something to push him further than ever so he could learn and prove to his father, no, to the world, that he was worthy of their recognition.

But what?

Elderbrant's soft blue eyes settled on a piece of parchment one of the servants had missed by the bin. Recruiting colonists to settle a new land off the coast?

Why, this sounded like exactly the opportunity he was looking for! A land full of colonists with no other musician before him? This was the perfect way for him to make a name for himself! No competition at all! It was almost too easy!

Besides, Elderbrant reasoned, a nice relaxing cruise could be just the thing he needed right now. Just his violin, himself, and the virgin ears of the rabble aboard the craft.

He would send for his things later.
