Elara sets herself to work on getting the dingys ready for launch- untying ropes and checking equipment. "Orders, captain?"
"For downing as fine a ship as carried men to battle... yep. Yep." Elara lands on the sand next to the ship and rubs embers out of her hair. She raises an eyebrow at whatever seems to be happening and waits for more details.
My perception ain't great. Anything I should be doing?
Elara flies the injured man out of the blaming ship.
She goes to help Roderick.
Elara dumps her keg onto the sand then goes for another. "Understood, Captain!" She tries ti suppress undue pride in being able to neatly maneuver through the burning ship due to her lack of wings.
Elara grabs her own barrel and helps out.
Elara raises an eyebrow. "C'mon sailor, let's get you back." Descending wingless through the ship, she searches for Adraniel.
Elara hesitates, feet lifting an inch off the ground hesitantly, then shakes her head. "One arrow'd put me down." Taking a glance at the ship, she does the same as Adraniel.
After what feels like a very long time, Elara awakens. "What? F&#% where are those mother f$&*ing f+!@ers-!" She tries to get up and grabs for her falchion, looking around wildly. Eventually she is calmed down.
Nah, do it the next fight.
For next time, when someone goes unconscious, could they control one of our friendly NPCs like the constructs? Pretty sure it's been a month since I've done anything.
Dear lord Adran, I beg of you, take Power Attack.
Adran mutters a swear and aims a terrifying cleave with his greatsword at the most damaged Humavian.
If keeping me alive would mean killing the rest of you, don't bother.
Feels good to hit something; let's hope I've actually chosen the right thing to hit.
Elara shades her eyes with a tentacle at Adraniel's display, before shrugging and turning to face her two burly foes. "...alright then, gents. Bring it on." Slashing out with her polearm in a professional sideways-slash, she follows it up with a step to the side to hover over the water, her tentacles extruding from the back of her coat to lash out and batter down the lizardfolk.
Elara shifts over as ordered, blade drawn but lowered in as non-threatening a way as she can manage.
Sounds fine.
"...oh. Damn." She drops the edge of her blade to the deck and returns to parade rest.
Elara pokes her head out of cover. "COME ON IF YOU THINK YOU'RE HARD ENOUGH!"
"God of soldiers... as ever, I offer you no prayer. I fight for myself and my unit. Amen." Elara draws her halberd and makes her way to the ship's side, taking up a position behind a handy bit of cover as she judges distances. "Boss? Orders? I reckon I can sprint over and make quick work of that sniper..."
I'm here. A bit behind on what's been happening recently though. Who needs killin'?
"Get me in close, I'll sort out the rest." Elara casually grips her polearm. "Recon's good to do first."
"Double back, keep an eye out, do a crazy ivan turn-around whenever the moment strikes. I'll take rear-guard." Elara ignores the 'dead-zone' contact for a bit; an irritating environmental threat, little else.
Elara nods, retrieves her weapon then takes to the sky after everyone.
"We're on the way to the next skirmish? Finally."
Didn't I come up with 'pedestrians'? Otherwise, 'groundlings' is popular, or 'dirt-pounders'.
Elara reaches a hand back to stroke a tentacle.
Sensing anough talking session, Elara "Tsk"s and finds a seat on the floor against the wall. "Got a pack of cards?"
Elara looks at Connor for confirmation, then shrugs and strips off her daggers and stows her polearm next to the crate.
Elara glowers but remains silent, arms crossed and weapon undrawn, waiting for Connor.
Elara doesn't stop to help Alys and keeps makinga beeline towards Adraniel. She shrugs her tentacles out the bakc sleeves of her greatcoat, having them grab the jungle treeline and bodily hurl her faster towards her target.
"Moving out, boss." Elara rises and starts sprinting through the air towards the two in time with the group.
"Just give me a shout if we need to go run to them, boss." Elara stands and starts stretching her legs in preparation.
"I say we go for whatever shock and awe we have left. We find a road in, preferably not the main route, and run down that hitting everything along the way. The more complex we make this the more likely they'll get their marksmen into position."
"Have him go further, he'll run right into any reinforcements they send 'cause he got spotted. I say send him to circle around, have him find another angle of approach for us all."
I'm not much fussed, but then I haven't been getting focused much. Just thought i'd give my two cents.
