This Rogue is a non caster that is (based on his class feats and features) mostly focused on movement, stealth and fighting, which makes him fill a role quite similar to the Ranger and the Monk.
But for some reason he doesn't get the same benefits as the other non caster.

- He gets only 8 hitpoints instead of 10
- He gets even less weapon proficiencies than a Bard and doesn't even get all of the finesse weapons
- He can't use shields
- He doesn't get is weapon proficiencies above expert

Shouldn't that be finally changed, and Rogue put on the same chassis as the Ranger and not as the Bard?

If you really MUST make them the best at all skills then make them the worst in combat. I mean the dead worst. Like, if a Rogue, a Fighter, and a Paladin are put in situations if the Rogue is leaps and bounds ahead of the Fighter and Paladin in skills then in combat the Rogue should be as far behind in combat... That means no cool...

No amount of skills is imo really worth to suck in combat, Rogues are non casters and should imo be in comat as good as the other non casters.

And if the other non casters are useless out of combat may they should finally fix that problem.

I think it makes not much sense that the Rogue gets the same hitpoints and less Weapon and Armor Proficiencies than a Bard who gets 9th level spells!

Imo a big problem with the Rogue that is somehow mostly ignored in the forum and schould be fixed has nothing to with the classfeatures but with the feats and his combat style.

For a Classical Rogue you usually want to build DEX based with TWF and Feint, this costs tons of feats (especially if you want to combine Feint with TWF) and is still suppar in comparison to high stength, Powerattack and a two handed weapon.

To really make the Rouge work the number of Feats to make this work and the disadvateges of this style must be reduced.
