Drawing his shield and his sword, "They won't, Lady Morgana, but that matters not. Obviously Ty is right and we are going to be discovered. Now is just as good a time as any," the paladin responds, ready for combat.
As soon as they have a clear shot to move, Edward will follow after the rogue.
"It's better than nothing, Lady Morgana. Questions would definitely arise if we tried nothing." Edward looks upon the scene, curious as to how the 'real' guard is going to react.
Looking back to the others, Edward gives a nod and moves out, following Ty's directions.
Richard replies to Edward "I have a light crossbow which you may use. I can send a Fire Bolt. While the spell is not as silent as the bow, it can be just as effective." Nodding, "Thank you, Sir Richard. Hopefully I can manage it at least well enough." Accepting the bow and the bolts, he loads one up and prepares.
"I fear I do not possess a bow, Lady Morgana. I do not suppose we've any extra?" he asks, looking to everyone.
"It would appear we've no edge. It also looks as if we must confront this head on. I fear we must simply go to the front gate and prepare for combat. And pray that Iomedae will bring us victory. I do not see any other way around this but I am open to anything. If I am needed to serve as a distraction then I am willing."
Edward gives a proper nod in response. ----------------------------------------------- "And because of the lack of information we do possess, it would behoove us to find someone who does possess said information and one we could also place our trust. I know, I know, that is truly a tall task. Anyway, I would agree with Lady Morgana when it refers to acquiring information from the townsfolk. Odds are they know nothing and I believe it would be far too risky to attempt such an endeavor anyway. So with that, time to depart. We can accomplish nothing standing around here." Edward then looks back up in the empty sky, his thoughts returning back to the ominous feeling he received upon noticing the flying creature. "Beware the winged beast. I've a feeling will be seeing that one again." The paladin then turns his attention to the others and says, "To the estate as Lady Morgana suggested? Barring any objections, I shall lead us forward." Edward then leads the way.
Edward looks over at Ty with nary an expression upon his face. "You obviously have taken issue with me, Ty, so with that I shall explain myself. I'd be willing to wager there are not many individuals that can come up with a plan to save two cities. And not due to a lack of intelligence, that is not what I'm suggesting by any means, but merely due to the simple fact that the objective is to save TWO CITIES. That sounds more like a job for some 'super' man than it does for four ordinary individuals but nevertheless it is an objective I am willing to partake. So if you do have some grand plan to save these two cities then let me apologize now for not aiding you in any way. But if you do not, then I would appreciate it if you would save your insolent attitude for our enemies. I have never demanded respect - nor shall I - from anyone, but I've done nothing to deserve your disrespect that I'm aware. If I have then pray tell me so that I might make amends," he finishes, his visage stone-like, yet, completely calm.
Losing himself in thought for a moment, Edward finally takes a deep breath before speaking. "Well then I guess it is settled. We will save both cities. How? I must confess I do not know. But I have no doubt that we WILL find a way."
Sheathing his sword and finding a good spot to rest, "Well that could've been worse. Or better. And that is a good question, Ty. Those children were affected by magic that should only affect evil. I confess I was astonished as to what occurred. I did not see that coming."
Remaining silent within the darkness, Edward strikes at the closest guard.
After proceeding with judgement upon the admiral, Edward cleans his blade and turns his attention to the others. "Yes, I believe it is time for us to take our leave." He then leads the way out.
Placing his sword upon her neck and with a look of a calm fury about him, "Unless any of you have any reason to keep this one alive, her life is forfeit. Her life is forfeit regardless but if any believes she may possess some type of information that may prove useful to us then speak now. The murdering of children is punishable by death." He waits for any to speak up and if no one does, he sends her to Pharasma's boneyard.
Raising an eyebrow, "Quite the acrobat I see," he comments, striking at her once again.
Stepping into the rogue's space, "Forgive me, young Ty," he says as he brings forth the granted power of Iomadae and strikes at the magus!
Edward doesn't waste a moment as he heads in Ty's direction.
Edward keeps up the assault upon the enemy in front of him.
Edward moves past Ty and strikes at the first guard he meets.
Edward stares death rays at the two who are murdering the halfling children. "You two will die this day and you will both suffer for an eternity in Hell. What little time you have left upon Golarion will still be too long as far as I'm concerned," he tells them, his tone quite eerie. He then looks to Ty, "Awaiting your success on that door, young Ty," he states calmly and confidently, nodding.
Edward with his shield equipped and his sword in his other hand, remains quiet and follows along. Oliver Klozoff? I must confess, that was brilliant.
"That sounds perfect. Once you start the distraction, I will make my way to the command post. I have zero concerns about guards at this point. On your mark, Lady Morgana," he says, drawing his shield and securing it while leaving his sword stowed.
"I would have to concur with Sir Traeve. I do believe time is not our ally at this point."
Pleasantly surprised at how quickly the zombies were dispatched, "Well... that was well done." Edward then sheathes his sword but keeps his shield.
Edward draws his shield and straps it on before moving toward the zombies and drawing his sword at the same time.
Stroking his chin in thought, Edward comes to a simple conclusion. "I will do whatever we must. Whichever plan we decide upon, I am game. Whatever it takes. I guess my next question would be: When do we get started?"
"So these children are going to be sacrificed to summon a devil. Fantastic," he remarks, rubbing his eyes in frustration which easily matches the tone in his voice. "I do not suppose we are too late to put a stop to this?"
Stroking his chin in thought as they find a quiet place to speak, "Do any of you know of what a 'Five-Fold ritual' entails? And for the record, I have a terrible feeling about the events surrounding the halfling children. I feel as if we should find a way to liberate them from Fort Gorthoklek. It is practically impossible of convincing me that the parents of those children would willingly just give them up to the Town Watch."
"I shall accompany you, Sir Richard. I am equally as interested to find out what brought such a change in such a short amount of time."
Grinning slightly, "I'm afraid Morgana has the right of it. We've made it this far... no sense in altering how we do things now, hm?" he asks rhetorically, giving a wry smile. "What and/or where is this 'place' you speak of?"
"As far as I'm concerned, the honor is all yours, Richard," he tells him, smiling and giving an approving nod.
Edward cuts his eyes from Traeve to Morgana and back to Traeve again before finally speaking. "An agreement I would not be against. But first we all must agree as one," he emphasizes, looking to the others before turning his attention back to Traeve, "to share this information with you. To be forthright, we were instructed NOT to share said information with anyone. So that is the reason for our reluctance, Sir Traeve."
Watching the two dance rather well together, "I will not disagree, young Ty. That's why I believe it best we keep an eye on him at all times."
Edward simply shakes his head at the back and forth between the Asmodean and Ty.
Pondering that question a moment, "No, I do not believe we did. Not that I recall anyway."
"Yes please, if you would be so kind. One for each of us if it's feasible."
"I see no reason for us to go into the city of Macini, so I am all for going around. Anyone have any objections to going around?" "You'll get no objections from me, Sir Richard. Although, I do find myself curious as to why. Is it simply due to avoid being recognized? Or is there something about Macini that just needs to be avoided? I ask simply because I know practically nothing about it."
Nodding, "Let us proceed."
Edward ponders all that was said and finally voices his opinion. "Very well. We accept your offer and will hold you to your word."
"I believe, and concur, of what he says about Masoumi to be true. And I also do not doubt his words about Lord Genedair having his hands tied. I have seen firsthand the influence this 'Masoumi' has had upon the community. It's poisonous at the very least. He believes the human race to be the most dominant and should be in charge of all; to the point of enslaving or eliminating all others. You are either with the cult or against the cult. There is no third option." He then looks to the Chelaxian curiously. "While I would typically not turn down an offer of aide, you must understand why I would question having you escort us. How are we to trust you when you initially wished us dead? And possibly still do for that matter? How do we know you will simply not lead us into a trap? And while a part of me feels you to be honorable in your offer, there is another part of me that remains highly wary. Also, there are three others here that you have to convince that you won't betray us at first opportunity."
Uncupping his hands, "No. We are not. I've no idea why I am able to produce this flame. But I can and there we are."
Pondering the man's wish - and figuring there could be no real harm in it - Edward sheaths his sword once again and cups his hands as instructed, forming the flame.
"As I have already informed you, the Arch's collapse was not of our doing. And once again, it was one of a natural occurrence. Do I know why? I would gather that is for you to learn however you must if you can. I will tell you this though: If I did, or do, know the details of its fall, I would not disclose them to you. Now, retire from your horse and let us end this. Or retreat with the one soldier you have left, and at the very least, spare him his life. Because neither of you will walk away from this alive if it is combat you prefer; and the mystery of the fallen Arch will no longer be important to you. So you have to ask yourself, my good man: What's it worth, truly, for this information you seek?" he asks as he redraws his sword, expecting the soldier to respond in their typical manner.
Edward quickly sheathes his sword and doesn't hesitate in helping to put out the flames. Once done, he looks upon his adversary through narrowed eyes. "I am curious, sir, what are you about? Why do you halt?"
Edward steps into the area where currently a fallen enemy now lies and attacks the green guy.
Edward gets down from the wagon and moves next to the enemy attacking Ty.
