Thank you everyone! That was a nail biter for sure! It was...A blast!

The mission: Rescue/kidnap Christopher Backlun from the Cult of Jayne. Keep it quiet.
So at the Cultist's compound, Janella and a cultist Gunfighter got into a massive gunfight.
He (Edgar) got the jump on her. In his defense, she started it. Both of them are dual pistol weilders. He shot her up bad. Her crew had to pile on to Edgar to save her.
Meanwhile the Cult leader, Lady Cynthia scampered outta there. She tried to use her psychic powers on Janella. Lady Cynthia realized her error. Our Big Damn Heroes shot her up, almost killed her. Only luck saved her.
More gunfire, grenades and finally Babe herself joined the fight. Babe tried to come in low, but it wasn't enough.
The Guard tower shot a SAM at Babe. Everyone at the table held their breath...The Pilot attempted a dodge...and didn't make it. Bam! The missile glanced off the hull, minor damage only. The table exhaled and continued fighting.
The fighting inside the Main house was winding down.
Outside, Babe was pounding the ground units, causing them to scatter.
The SAM operator frantically tried to reload as quickly as possible.
Our pilot and the SAM guy were at eye level 30 feet above ground. The pilot swung Babe around and slapped the tower. Down it went.
Babe was maneuvered so close to the front door it was almost a vacuum seal.
The trussed up Christopher was hogtied and tossed into the cargo bay and away they went. Oh yeah, When they flew away, they blasted the engines at full burn through the front door. The main house (mansion) exploded.

Lady Cynthia escaped. She knows who they are. The entire Cult of Jayne now knows too. It's that same ship that stopped the bombing of Canton.

Revenge!

I'm sending out a wave to the crew of the Swift Ox Class freighter, "Babe." Thank you very much for an awesome game.
Special thanks to my Deputy "mearrin69" for fielding game system questions, for being the dealer, bartender and the Ship's Captain. That freed me up to roleplay the setting and adventure.

How many of the crew played Deadlands before? Zero. How many knew the Firefly setting front and back? None. How many jumped into the game feet first? As if it were a continuing saga we all had been playing together for years? Everyone!
I was awed by the amazing roleplaying, enthusiasm and system comprehension.
Post game, "mearrin69" and I talked about all the positive feedback. So, I know it is a year away... But I think there is enough interest to revisit this crew and their misadventures at the next PaizoCon. I will get to work.

You all were great!

Thank you,

Only two survived the Troop 13 expedition. Peggy "Piggy" Stepworth and the handsome Ronnie J. Since Peggy is a girl she can't be a real Scout. (She is as tough as any of them and so that's a stupid rule. But I digress.) So she when she tagged along with her brother (RIP) Milo, she was the honorary historian and photographer of Troop 13. Using her father's new flash camera she recorded a handful of photos from the doomed Boy Scot Troop 13.
