You can definitely use 3 firearms to attack 3 times at first level with a Kasatha, but WBL makes that pretty much impossible. I know the pricing was the issue I was having. Damn was hoping to fire the gun with my top right, drop it to my bottom right fire, then flip it to my bottom left fire then flip it up to my top left and finish off the round after looking cool. Yeah pricing is why Kasatha are pretty much stuck being Warpriest or Monks, they are basically build for the unarmed role. ![]()
![]() Well I was curious of something, because someone mentioned removing your hand is a free action, and putting your hand on a weapon is a free action. So could a Kasatha Gunslinger with Rapid Reload and the Alchemic cartridges shift his gun from hand to hand to allow him to make all four of his attacks? ![]()
![]() Ok so a player in my group has picked up the Kasatha and is using a 3rd Party class called the War Scholar. Now the Kasatha is a good monk period. With Multiweapon Fighting a level 1 monk can throw 4 punches a round at pretty much the same penalty as the normal monk. Now with this case we have a Monk who can wear light armor and still use his AC bonus. So he has at level 5 Mithril Chain Shirt which is a +4 Armor bonus and has a max of +6 dex. Well his Dex and Wis are +6 (20 + Item such as a Belt or Headband) +1 (Gestalt) So his AC is 29 with a touch AC of 25. So he is becoming a bit of a challenge to nail with an attack that is not Touch AC or without a Nat 20 on the dice. He is also working on saving up for a Guided or Agile AoMF.
If I let him have Agile (I don't think I wanna give him Guided) he will have Dex to Hit and Damage. Which he currently has with the investment of Weapon Finesse, Boar Style, and Slashing Grace. Now yes with a single investment of at least 5K for the Agile Amulet of Might Fist he has replaced three of his feats. Now I don't want to make this about gimping his character. But should I allow him to retrain 3 feats when he gets this much money which currently will be closer to level 7. Now I can see many of you wondering how he has 3 feats, and Multiweapon fighting. Well I like the flaw system from 3.5 so I still use it. He took Multiweapon Fighting as one of his flaws and Weapon Focus (Unarmed) as the other. Now for the Gestalt he has taken Brawler, he liked the flexible combat feat stuff. His combat feats from there are Agile Maneuvers and Weapon Spec (Unarmed Strike) So with his flexibility in changing combat featd the idea of him now being able to change 3 feats worries me. He is already very hard to hit, god save me if he picks dodge. And he hits pretty well, and does a lot of damage with a 1d8 +6(dex) +2 (Ws) at least for a level 5. If he added Piranha Strike he could increase his damage as well. Any Advice for me on if I should let him change his feats, and how to better guide this so I don't end up with a issue on how to hit him and not always hit the party. (A Barbarian//Bard; Warpriest//Slayer) ![]()
![]() Ok so I am making a Gestalt character for a game and I was reading the Bow Nomad racial archetype and being able to dual wield bows is kind of awesome. So I am rolling on this at 5th level. Now combining these two classes give me two sources of spells, which is a bonus as some are really nice for archers. Warpriest is not Full BAB but Ranger is, Warpriest has sacred weapon which can be my bows which increase their HD which goes up further with things like Lead Blades and so forth I believe. I could take Divine Protection and gain my Cha to saves, which are all good saves due to Rangers Reflex. Now yes I will not have a lot of Cha but it will still be an additional +1 or +2 to saves which could be really helpful later in the game. What feats should I focus on? I get free Weapon Focus (Bows) because of Warpriest and I get Point Blank Shot from Ranger. ![]()
![]() Hello all, So I am making a gestalt character at level 5, and we are using a 25 Point Buy (I dislike point buy but I am not running the game). My race is Kasatha, this is non-negotiable.
So my gestalt is Ranger (Skirmisher maybe)//Cleric
So feat wise
I can take two flaws to pick up two further feats which I am thinking will be Exotic Weapon Prof for a cool rare weapon, and possibly Weapon Focus or Furious Focus to reduce the penalties for power attack so not to stack it with Two-Weapon fightings -4. Now can Effortless Lace be applies to one handed weapons that are being two handed, such as a bastard sword or a katana, or elven curved sword? I wonder because it would help to reduce my penalties. I wanted to keep his armor medium or light.
If I keep Ranger spells I may use those for situation buffs for myself and the party, but the Skirmisher hunter tricks seem fun, which would be better? This character is LG, though his morale code is alien no pun intended, he follows the morale codes of his people which are strict but could be fun to introduce (All of its homebrew as they have not published enough about them.). We do allow 3.5 material, but it has to be within reason, so no Divine Metamagic persisting a spell forever and ever. But using a feat from 3.5 or something that doesn't over power the campaign might be allowed on a case by case basis. I am working on making this character a powerful and feared holy man, basically not quite a paladin but sort of in his determination. ![]()
![]() I have not had a Mummy in my games yet, not sure if I would allow them as if someone dies of Mummy Rot I could see just reviving them as a NPC. But given that if they are a CR +3 on a base race like human. Well I would have them have 3 CR levels and then class levels with possible room to buy off. If they have HD I would only allow half the Cr to be bought off. ![]()
![]() The way they work according to James Jacobs is That you get 1 attack via your primary hand, and 1 for each off hand (total of 3 off-hand attacks) With Improved Two-Weapon fighting (+6 BAB) that means he get 2 attacks with his primary hand, and 3 for his normal off hands, and an additional off hand due to Improved TWF. So that is 6 attacks per round at level 6 or 8 depending on the class's BAB. The rest looks really interesting, just wanted to be clear on what I meant and what you meant.

![]() I wanted to be a mid line fighter, not quite in the back not quite on the frontline. Sure I want to have damage output for when I step forward but I can find that in a number of ways. Killoren smite people without having to be evil and can do it once an hour, Kasatha get four attacks a turn at level 1. but I also want to be sure when I step back I can buff the party, manipulate the enemies. Basically be a jack of all trades with a more well rounded if not complete routine. ![]()
![]() I was wanting to build a powerful Cha focused character and I could not imagine a better more rounded class combo then the Paladin gestalted with the Bard. It grants 1-4 Divine spells, 1-6 Arcane spells, 6+Int skills, d10 Hd, all good saves, Cha to saves (Making them insane). Sure I am stuck to Light armor, Mithral Medium armor or so. But I need help making this character more balanced, I probably won't be going two weapon, I might go Shield and Sword but Archery is also a possible choice. Race wise I like the Kasatha (even though it gives no bonuses to my class) its 4 attacks a round, with buffs makes this guy a power house to damage output. Killoren is a good choice, its own unique smiting attack is fun and being Fey means he can be LG but also really fun. But I am curious how many think an Aasimar would just be better?
