Hi,

I've got a 7th level Occultist with the Baliff's Chalice Sacred Implement that I'm thinking of developing into a soul collector type character. Since the Baliff's Chalice only captures and holds an opponent for a short period of time, would a permanency spell make this permanent since it's a special ability and not a spell. Seems to me like it would. I'd like to hear your thoughts or maybe other ideas to make this happen. Thanks!

Hi,

I've recently become very interested in the Esoteric Order of the Palatine Eye. Is there an official list of their cathedral or chapter locations? Are they just localized in Ustalav? Or are there any Third Throne or larger elements elsewhere? I'm especially interested in Numeria and Starfall in particular. Seems to me they would be interested in keeping an eye on things there due to the proximity. Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Hi,

The rule states "the experimental gunsmith is treated as having the Gunsmithing feat, but only in regard to his beginning firearm..." My question is, is this just in regards to his beginning firearm for innovation purposes? Can he/she still use the gunsmithing feat on other firearms, just not add innovations to firearms other than his beginning one?

Thanks,

Dukan

When you attempt a trip after an opponent is entangled in a snag net, does it provoke an attack of opportunity by the entangled opponent? I'm thinking yes, at a -2.

Hello.

I have a Two-Weapon Fighter with the Improved Two-Weapon Fighting feat that just reached 11 level. Since he has the TWF Double Strike ability, does that mean he gets a Pri and Alt attack each at +11,+6, and +1? Or does he need to take the Greater Two-Weapon Fighting feat to get that last Alt attack at +1?

Dukan

The Snakeskin Tunic gives you a +1 AC bonus and a +2 DEX bonus. So is that actually a total +2 AC bonus or just +1 (because of the increased Dexterity)?

Hello,

I'm attempting to procure or build my own flipmat of an oval "race track" to be used as an arena for chariot races and other types of competitions. Ideally it would use hexes or squares for distance measurements. I've attempted just piecing together hexagonal mapping paper together and cutting it to the appropriate shape, but that just didn't produce the finished look that I'd like. Does anyone know of a product or program that might aid in constructing this. Thanks for your help.

Meet Hardwick Battlebeard. He's a guisarme weilding Dwarven Polearm Master that I'm trying to develop into an expert tripper/battlefield controller type fighter. His feats are cleave, great cleave, combat reflexes, combat expertise, and improved trip.

I was considering the stand still feat next to help him better control battles, but wouldn't it be just as effective (if not more so) to trip an opponent rather than keep them from moving? I can't think of a scenario when it wouldn't be. It seems like greater trip would be a better choice.

Maybe stand still could be more useful with improved reposition? Or is it possible to reposition a prone (tripped) opponent?

I've got a Dwarven Polearm Master with the cleave and improved trip feats that he uses with a guisarme polearm. If he faces two side by side opponents 10 feet away and he successfully trips the first one, can he use the cleave feat to perform another combat maneuver (another trip, sunder, disarm, etc...) against the adjacent enemy?

Anyone know exactly where thier headquarters, the Earth Axle is located?

Dukan

Dwarf Bard Archaeologist Crossbowman. Hmm... Any suggestions? The campaign begins with an investigation by the characters of what happened to their adventurer ancestors 500 years ago. I'm thinking of an Indiana Jones type character. Thoughts?

Can someone tell me where the Earth Axle, the HQ of the Ninth Battalion is located? I know on a mountain in the center of a lake, but I'm quite sure I've seen a map with it indicated on there. Any ideas?

I have a dual-classed Rogue 10 / Duelist 2. When I attain the next level of Duelist, may I assign some of the skill ranks attained back into Rogue class skills, or must they be used on the Duelist only skills (Acrobatics , Bluff, Escape Artist, Perception, Perform, and Sense Motive.

Thanks.

I've got a 10th level rogue that is going to take a level of duelist next. His BAB now is +8/+2. A first level duelist's BAB is +1. Does that apply to both attacks making it +9/+3 or just the first attack, making it +9/+2?

Thanks,
Dukan

Does the Rogue advanced talent Crippling Strike stack for each successful sneak attack? Or is it like the bleed attack talent and only occurs on the first sneak attack?

Dukan

Does any one know if an interactive map pack was created for this particular adventure? I can't seem to find if it is available.

Dukan

I've got a level 8 Rogue with the Two-Weapon Fighting feat and Improved Two-Weapon Feint feat. His BAB is +6/+1. If he feints with the primary weapon and wins his Bluff check is he allowed the Sneak Attack with his offhand weapon and the second primary attack or just the single offhand weapon attack?

So our fighter character just leveled up to level 4 and got his first ability score increase, which he used on Constitution. This gives him and extra hit point per level. Does he get to recoup an extra hit point from each previous level too, or just from here on out?

One of our characters in the Rise of the Runelords campaign has decided to become an art collector. He recovered the painting "Throw Down in Swine Town" that was painted by Ando Salu that was hidden below Foxglove Manor. He is very interested in other works by that artist. Are there any others by Salu in other modules or supplements or are there other famous artists in Golarion? This looks like a great opportunity for adventure hooks in the future.

We're currently playing Rise of the Runelords and are stumped on how the Inscribe Rune item creation feat works in the Sins of the Saviors module. Do you have to have the feat and the ability to cast the associated spell in order to be able to inscribe a particular rune? Or do you just have to have the feat and invest the required amount of gold and time? Thanks for your help in advance!

I'm starting out a new character that will follow the Net and Trident Gladiator type. His current feats are Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Net, Performance Weapon Mastery, Two Weapon Fighting, and Weapon Finesse. My question is: After he throws his net (and misses) how long does it take him to retrieve it before he can throw it again? I'm thinking probably 1 full round and he would be subject to attacks of opportunity during that round. Thoughts?

One of our players in the Skull & Shackles AP is a half-orc barbarian with the Toothy racial trait. He wields a cutlass for his primary weapon. Is the bite attack granted by this trait in addition to his cutlass attack in the same round or is it just a seperate mode of attack? If it's an additional attack, is it considered a secondary attack with -5 to hit plus 1/2 strength damage, or is an attack with regular bonuses? - Dukan

I just cancelled my subscription to Pathfinder and will be looking for gaming material somewhere else.

It was a hard decision to make but when it comes down to it, Paizo just doesn't provide the material I'm looking for anymore. What a shame, because Paizo and it's reinvigoration of Dungeon and Dragon magazines was responsible for bringing me back into the hobby that I had been away from for a number of years. I admit, I got re-hooked mostly because of the Greyhawk content in Dungeon, but there was other great stuff too.

I was really hoping Pathfinder would capture my imagination, especially after feeling that WOTC left us all high and dry by cancelling Dungeon and Dragon magazines as we know them. But after giving Pathfinder a try through the first adventure path, I find it flat and the new campaign setting just doesn't do anything for me either. Between that, the cartoony manga-ish art (not the maps though, those are still visually appealing), and the unnecessary adult theme that more than occasionally runs through some of the material, I just can't justify continuing to purchase your product anymore.

I do wish y'all the best of luck though because I was a fan for a long time. Here's to the good ole days. Maybe WOTC will offer you the Greyhawk license since they're not using it anymore and y'all could get back to what you did best.

I know I'm probably opening up a can of worms here since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'd like to strongly urge the kind folks at Paizo to steer away from anime style artwork in Pathfinder and the GameMastery products. I know I'm not the only one who despises that type of character art.

The maps and scenery/location artwork is just as great as it was in Dungeon and Dragon magazines, but everytime I look at some of the character pics like Valeros and Seoni, I can't help but think about Jim Henson's muppet gelflings in the old Dark Crystal flick. How's that for an obscure reference for you old timers? And Shaleu Andosana looks like she infiltrated from Blizzard's WoW.

The artwork in Hollow's Last Hope was fantastic by the way. Y'all have a great stable of artists so I know you can do better than anime-esque cartoons. Otherwise my new Level 1 Rogue created for Burnt Offerings will have to pick up a level of Speed Racer next...

Has anyone noticed the number of typos in "The Sea Wyvern's Wake" or is it just me? I usually overlook the first one or two in a mag but IIRC there were 5-6 just in the lastest Savage Tide entry. I haven't read the remainder of the issue yet.

I thought the material in the three adventures so far has been great and my group is anxiously awaiting their start there. But I hope the next batch gets proofed a little more closely.
