![]() Personally when I post a recruitment I look for a number of things. 1. Is the character one I would enjoy running in the AP or adventure. 2. How would the chatacters mesh as a party. 3. Did the player read my post and build a chatacter within the guidelines...little things like if i said 2 traits, did he put three in. If I limited a race or class did he go there anyway. Not reading is indicative of a different issue. 4. Is the player helpful or challenging? 5. Is the player creating something very very unusual...a lot of times that's indicative of someone who might get bored if the character isn't performing as expected. And a few other things. But i.dont just choose 'friends' ![]()
![]() I agree with everything being told to you. And would add this, as someone whose ran a lot of pbp games. 1. If you want the players to post 1xd expect yourself to post 3 to 4 times a day. 2. Consider giving them more information than you would in a table top game. Lack of Information slows things down when you know they are going to find out....note this isn't plot or intrigue, it's things like minor magic items, or what the poison does when they fail. 3. It's your job to move the game along, sodo things like tell them how to advance it...like 'when three of you say you're going to bed, I'll advance game. Or I'll give til tomorrow around 5pm central standard time, then I'm advancing the round. ![]()
![]() It's easy to post 1xday fit me, for the most part. The occasional weekend away is the main way I'd not. As for the discussion of dis ord vs forums. I do not find it difficult for either, though I do prefer the forum, and roll 20 is an easy map tool. Low cost for a dm. 4.99 a month. And quick ability to do maps and run combat. ![]()
![]() Im interested. Thinking to run a Human Rogue to start, but later he'd be multiclassing into a Ranger. So he'd be a Ranger Rogue in the higher levels. So strong Dex and Int Normal Str and Con Sub Wis and cha Dex: 10 + 2d4 ⇒ 10 + (4, 2) = 16
Str: 10 + 1d6 ⇒ 10 + (5) = 15
Wis: 14 - 1d6 ⇒ 14 - (4) = 10

![]() Since I realize there's a lot of folks who never heard of this adventure. Let me write the official entry thread. Hidden away in the jungles of the Mwangi Expanse, an ancient ruin of the ancient Azlanti people has remained unknown....until now. An Explorer dying from a strange disease has surfaced in Bloodcove. His fevered ramblings of treasure, Beast-Men serving a Minotaur King, Lizard-Folk in direct rebellion to the King, a Death Cult trying to find secrets long buried, rumors of an ancient evil waiting release and more perk the attention of those who are intrepid enough to face these dangers to find the secrets of the Caverns of Azlantia. Are you brave enough? ![]()
![]() Is there any interest for the Mega-Dungeon that was created by judges Guild for AD&D and redone by Necromancer Ganes to 3.5. It's an easy reskin for PF1. For those who've never heard of it. I'd change the name to the Caverns of Azlantia, for the setting. It starts at 3rd level and goes to about 7th or 8th. Interested? ![]()

![]() Javell, were close. Im in Austin (Im Dargon by the way) and since we are sharing where we started... The original boxed set in 1975...the year my addiction started at the ripe old age of 15 ![]()
![]() It's been a while since I ran a game on the boards. I'm considering it at the moment. Getting that itch again. The major draw is running a carrion crown game. But, I see 2 other games have started in the last 4 months. Are there enough people who want to play this campaign. If I get enough Interest I'll start a recruitment thread. At this point I'm testing the water. Let me know. ![]()
![]() ability score 1: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Reroll 1 ability score reroll 1: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 So my array will be St:12
I'll get the character posted tonight ![]()

I'm in the same boat as Apoc Golem. Kilain is a character I played in a tabletop game that lasted til he was 9th level as a fighter/cleric in AD&D. Trying to relive the joy I had playing him and Thought I have looked at him as a Cleric .I think in this case ...Champion best suits him. ![]()

Kilain, 3rd born in The Family Gravendak, of Clan Quarrymaster of the Hammer Halls of Highhelm, in Five Kings Mountains. As is normal, The First born carries the Family Name as heir, 2nd goes in the military and 3rd goes to the church. Kilain went to the church. He has been training in his prayers to The Soul Forger and follows the tenants of the Dwarven Faith as close as possible. He is eager to serve the church and awaits their first assignment. It is known in Dtawrven history that a member of Kilains ancestors fell asleep on watch after a drunken festival at one of the tombs that was being guarded and it was raided and a dwarven relic of importance was stolen. The family was disgraced and Clan Quarrymaster fell in importance. Kilain has a personal quest to help restore honor to the family name and is attending the invitation to Clan Tolor by way with a recommendation from the church to learn about the member of the clan who caused the dishonor and what was stolen. Perhaps he can find it and return it. ![]()
![]() Now to some background things. I'm 64 years old. Retired. After spending a good deal of time in the army doing army things and even more time later in sales until recently. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. My role playing background is d&d since 1975 until the edition wars where I moved to Pathfinder. I used to DM a lot until my health took a turn for the worse and I had the year from hell. Now barely dipping my fingers or toes back in (depending on how you look at it)with the idea I only play in a few games so as not to stress myself out too much and get over extended. If possible I'd stay with the default human instead of halfling and I'd go Fighter as that's more what I think is needed and pf2 is good to fighters. ![]()

![]() so Number 2 is the selection. so now onto the issue that has formed over the +1 Ring of Protection. so when it was looted, Alexander was at 0 staggered and sitting on barrel, right before he drank a cure light wounds potion. The priestess had fallen and the group was going over bodies for clues of who the assailants were. They discovered a ring that was magical. Iding at a ring of protection they waitied to hand it out til the following morning. Alexander reached out to the table and claimed it. Kronk said 'Hold on there Id like that too.' and thats where we are. Trust me there will be plenty of loot. so lets examine armor classes. Alexander is AC 17
by that Cathoris should get it...and him not wanting it...Kronk next. Does anybody think that doing it that way is against the agreed upon method 2 we voted on? ![]()

![]() Doro considers the tactical approach Our horses can carry across the space in the time it allows them to fire two volleys. On foot we will subjected to 3. My suggestion , unless someone can make all of us unable to be seen, is to ride our horses straight to the side of the building's ground floor and through the arches into it. Anyone disagree? ![]()
