About Dr. Jim
Dr. Jim appears as a medium-height, muscular-but-portly man, usually seen snoring with a jug of ale in his hand. He has many scars from the myriad bar fights he started (and ended) over the years, and his fighting style involves his greatsword and a good deal of drinking and shouting.
He gets very evasive when asked just what his doctorate is in, exactly, but he appears to have a good deal of esoteric knowledge: if he could be bothered to sober up and compile his notes, he would be a capable alchemist.
He joined the pathfinder society when his local bartender cut him off for maxing out his tab. Most of his time between adventures is spent fulfilling the need for mead at the local tavern.
