When the combat is over, Dovian breathes a sigh of relief and walks over to either Shera or Yaricki "That was close...would you mind helping me with these?" He gestures where he was wounded by the constructs.

Assuming that either Shera/Yaricki assists with the healing with the given wand of CLW. If not I'll deduct the charges from my own wand

Whew! Sorry guys, things have been slightly hectic on my end. Been travelling the past few days. And nice choice on the wish, Dovian wouldn't really need more armaments with his cards handy!

Although alarmed when Yanda starts chucking bombs around, Dovian's protests are quickly silenced when the Veela emerge from the ice. Whilst the party converses with Zhaleh, Dovian does his best to chat up several of the Veela and as a consequence misses most of the conversation. When the party makes a move, he executes a quick bow before joining them deeper into the caves, where he quickly catches up on what happened with Zhaleh.

"Great job Kitajo!"

Moving into range of the remaining foe, Dovian channels his arcane energy into his cards and flicks one at the enemy

When the party spots the Marid, Dovian impulsively hails it "Ho! You there good sir! What are you doing here?"

Dovian is just about to join the fray when the image of Sorrina appears. Right after Dovian registers the warning about flash floods and rain would appear, he feels a slight shift in the air That's not good...

Dovian quickly plants his staff into the ground and braces himself as the sudden torrent of water crashes into the battlefield, allowing him to stay on his feet even as he is battered and forcibly relocated by the water. As he reorients himself after the sudden flood, he looks up only to see a new creature on the battlefield

"Oh great, another one"

Trusting Kitajo and Terra to handle the mephit, Dovian flicks a glowing card at the new creature instead

But disoriented right after the flood, the card flies right by the creature

Dovian cooly gets back to work [b[]I think I got it!"[/b] and just then, the spirit lashes out at Dovian, causing him to yelp in pain and lose his focus. Luckily Yanda manages to pacify the spirit and Dovian cradles his twitching fingers. When Yarricki heals him, Dovian closes his eyes as he feels the healing magic soothe him. He flashes a grin and bows to Yarricki "My thanks milady"

Dovian muses over the oracles words while he helps himself to a potion of cure light wounds and endure elements Lord of burial...no breath...not yet buried Thunder? Wonder what that means. Lungs will soon go empty...guess we better get to the core of this place soon

When the party encounters new creatures, Dovian clicks his tongue irritably "More of these pests! It's almost enough to make a guy fold his hand!" He moves closer to get a better look at them but his lack of planar knowledge means all he sees are two flying ugly creatures while he channels some energy into a deck of cards in his hands, causing them to glow faintly

Hey all, so sorry for my absence. Oh man, so much to catch up on

Dovian accepts the tall elven man's offer and feels the effects of the spell wash over him. He also fastidiously secures the snapleaf as a makeshift badge on his coat and stows away the pouches of air crystals and potions.

As Sorrina Westyr briefs the assembled pathfinders, Dovian nods and thinks to himself Adventure and glory awaits...but it seems I will be gambling with my life as well this time...let's just hope the risk is worth the reward eh

Dovian stands by the side as his companions swiftly deal with the mephit looks upon the strange creature Fascinating... before nonchalantly flicking a card that downs it. Slightly surprised, he is nevertheless pleased "Aced it!"

Walking with his companions towards the Frozen City when they come across the wounded creature, his companions leap into the fray while Dovian sighs irritably and rolls his eyes Heroes...they will be the death of me someday

However, as the elementals close in on the party members Dovian and channels his innate magic into the cards which begin to glow a faint purple-ish color. Taking note of Shera's and Yarricki's warnings, he moves forward closer to the fray (while taking care to ensure the big bird is between him and the creatures) and tosses a card at the nearest elemental.

The accursed darkness makes it hard to see...

As Shera picks a card from Dovian's hand and it opens to reveal the Queen of Hearts, Dovian sighs and folds the rest of the cards "Ah, the Queen of Hearts! Truly a sign that you reign over the hearts of your lowly subjects such as myself" Dovian kneels and sweeps her hand, planting a kiss on it

A disheveled scruffy looking man with sardonic grin strides into the room with a swagger. Not particularly handsome, he has an sardonic grin on his face, with long lanky brown kept in control by a black hat. He is clad in a long brown coat, which is open to reveal a chain shirt, while one hand grips a staff which he thumps on the ground as he walks.

He stops and looks around the room, taking in the various pathfinders gathered there. He gives a grin and half-bows to everyone "Greetings friends! The name is Dovian, and I look forward to getting to know the ladies here very well...and also sort out some minor task that that I heard the Society needs some help with"

He gives a wink to Shera and flourishes a spread of cards before her in his hand "Pick a card my beauty...and pray tell what rumors have you heard so far? We can trade...secrets"

- Your hit points would be higher be my calculation: 3d8 (18) +3+2 = 23
I thought it was 8+4+4 (16) +3+2; since i took half rounded down for 1d8 at level 2 and 3. Am more than happy to add those 2 extra hp if I'm wrong though!

- Do you have a bonus language from somewhere? I'm seeing Common and Varisian from being Human, with 3 bonus languages from high Int?
My bad, was debating with myself on whether I wanted Dovian to have Shoanti or Varisian roots and forgot to delete that extra language. Fixed

- Where will you keep track of your arcane pool as you use up points?

- Could you describe for me how you get the attack and damage bonus from your card attacks? Do you assume that you always have the Arcane Pool enhancement up? Also, you don't actually have the Arcane Strike feat to add damage, do you? Or does that work automatically for the Card Caster archetype?

Arcane pool is written down more for myself to remember. I only have 4 arcane points so can't always assume it will be up. I'll announce when I'm using it and remove one arcane point in the tracker.

As for the arcane strike damage, Card Casters are able to enhance cards as per the Deadly Dealer feat even without meeting the prerequisites as long as there is 1 arcane pool point available. Furthermore, they can enhance a deck of cards as though it were a ranged weapon with 54 pieces of ammunition. So in effect, after activating a swift action to enhance it once, the effect would last for the entire card deck and is always up.

Card Caster archtype:
At 1st level, the card caster gains Deadly Dealer as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. A card caster can invest cards with enough magic to deal lethal damage even without the Arcane Strike feat so long as he has at least 1 point in his arcane pool.

Deadly Dealer feat:
Prerequisite(s): Arcane Strike, Sleight of Hand 5 ranks.
Benefit(s): You can throw a card as though it were a dart, with the same damage, range, and other features. You must use the Arcane Strike feat when throwing a card in this way, or else the card lacks the magical force and precision to deal lethal damage. A card is destroyed when thrown in this way.
Harrow cards are treated as masterwork weapons when thrown using this feat, but are still destroyed after they are thrown. A harrow deck can no longer be used as a fortune-telling device after even a single card is thrown.
A spellcaster with this feat can enhance a deck of cards as though it were a ranged weapon with 54 pieces of ammunition. This enhancement functions only when used in tandem with this feat, and has no affect on any other way the cards might be used.
Only a character who possesses this feat can use an enhanced deck of cards; she must still use the Arcane Strike feat to activate the cards’ enhancement.
