Background:

Born as the fifth child, fourth son, of a minor member of the senatorial class in Taldor's capital of Oppara.

Desdemar was lettered, as all bearded Taldanes should be, but as it was highly unlikely he'd inherit the family title he was trained in a profession suitable for the bearded class and became a scribe.

During his education Desdemar took a particular interest in history and became enamoured of the glory days of Taldor. The older and more educated he became the greater his disenfranchisement with the current state of Taldor and the petty squabbling and power struggles of the bearded class.

His love of the undedog and dismay at the state of politics in Taldor led him first to various parlors and taverns where such thoughts were aired, and through these into the worship of the accidental god.

As he came of age Desdemar left home to follow in Cayden Cailean's footsteps, becoming a sellsword and freedom fighter with a dream of turning Taldor back towards romantic ideals of the Golden Age.

Appearance:
Desdemar dresses in well made but simple attire: traveler's clothes in earthy tones beneath studded leathers with burnished silver-looking studs. His face usually wears a friendly smile amidst his tidy beard. Like most of the Drunken God's faithful Desdemar is friendly and affable, yet deadly serious when liberty is at stake.

Motivation:
Seeks only to live as Cayden Cailean spent his time as a mortal - a freedom fighter. Desdemar harbors a notion that if Taldor returns to the romantic ideals of yore the fortunes of the nation will be restored, along with the prospects of the unbearded class.
