I am actually getting ready to run this after years. I am going to be doing it in Pathfinder and for an AP Podcast so this will be fun I figure 12 years is long enough for spoilers on it :)

Grand Lodge

So I am going to be starting up a podcast of a play thru of Rise of the Runelords. I was wanting to do it on a VTT and record the audio but also have the video on youtube. If I capture the maps as the players are going thru as well as tokens of people does that break the community use rules? No plans on having the files where people can get them which is a breach. As long as I don't make them available then I am ok? If not then I will have to change my plans. Thanks.

Grand Lodge

Ok. Well that makes the letter to the PC's I am going to prop up easier. I like that factions are just a function of the Society play and not something I need to worry about in the AP.

Grand Lodge

I am looking to fill a spot or two at our table. We are getting ready to start Shattered Star in a week or so. If you are interested please drop me a line here or a PM.

She is but as a member of The Pathfinder Society she should have a faction alliance. And what I have read of her is making me think that she is A member of The Grand Lodge.

Grand Lodge

Did I miss it or is Sheila Heidmarch not have a faction listed?

Grand Lodge

To bad you are not able to play in a weekly game I am working on just that right now. I need one more player for face to face in the Knoxville area. I just moved here a few months ago and have been working on getting a group together for awhile now. I would love to get involved in helping to run games for PFS here in town. I know of a shop where we could run games easily and they have the space for it. SciFi Games, I have been to the other shop here in town and not overly happy with the shop myself. So dirty. Well if you could swing something let me know. Thanks

So I got my copy of Ultimate Equpment finally. At least a physical copy. As I was flipping through I got to the last page and was so very disappointed in Paizo. An ad really in a hardcover that is already almost $50. I could see it in something that was not already so expensive of a book. I get that the short book are page crunched for space already but still guys I though better of these books. Is this going to be the new standard? If so I am not so sure I will want to grab anymore books sadly I do not buy all the lines but I am well aware of them.

Grand Lodge

No the archetype was something I found, I had an idea to play a scholar that was able to crawl through ruins as well. The flavor text was just something that lead to a question about the archetype being something a rouge could take. How the character fights is not something I have thought to much about. I have been putting a lot more thought into the background of the character and what he does for a living then how he kills things. Since the adventures are just a part of his life. Not the end of it. Well hopefully not the end of it. ;)

I want to have a character with a rich backstory that would explain why he would put his life in danger by going out and doing the things the Pathfinder Society asks him to do.

Once I have a bit more on his backstory I was going to dive into the mechanics of the character. I want the mechanics to be a reflection of the story not to build a story out of a mechanic. I love the idea of no xp. It will lead to more RP and less kill the monster and steal his stuff. I am most likely in the minority when it comes to that but that is the thing that I saw as amazing. So now you dont have to just kill the monster you could talk to it. Now I know not all monsters are not going to talk but the idea that uou could makes for a neat twist.

Sorry I got to rambling.

You don't lose the spellcasting with the Archaeologist.

Whoops sorry about that miss type. I know the spells are still there.

Grand Lodge

If I make the archeologist then I am not as concerned about the spell casting or the perform abilities since I will loss those anyway. Dex is great but I want the skills and the other bits for an archaeologist. Int is more in that vein I feel. S/he is a learned person not a typical bard or rogue for that matter.

Grand Lodge

True and if I make Int my prime stat then I will have more skill points. Going to make both and see which version I like more.

Grand Lodge

Ok so a rogue it is but with a class feature a will most likely never use. Not a big fan of backstab was looking at a student type character will go with the flavor of the archaeologist without the perks oh well. Thanks for the feedback folks.

Grand Lodge

So I am working on an idea for my first PFS character and I want to do an archaeologist type character. I found the one that was a bard bit in the text it said "This archetype also fits roguelike characters that focus more on learning then stabbing foes in the back." So does this mean I could make a rogue in place of a bard and loss backstab then? Not totally sure how this would work in PFS.

Grand Lodge

I have just moved to the area and I am looking to start a group or join a group in the area. I am willing to travel right now out to 30 miles after the wife moves down will not be able to travel for games. Have a young child and the wife wants to play as well. Well hope to hear from people at some point.

Could I please get a copy my email is dmderek@gmail.com thanks and I will not kill the kitten. :)
Pet the kitten, or get it a good home. Heck, have it work as a miniature in the adventure. Check your mail.

Thanks so much and the kitten is gainfully employed as a foot warmer for a lovely elderly lady. :)

DM Feint, I updated Keep on the Borderland for Pathfinder Play some time back. (A lot of people on the Conversions section of the boards have requested it.) I initially set it in Lastwall, but it is fairly easy to move and you can file off the names of any of the NPCs if they do not fit your vision.

If you can give me an e-mail address, I can send you the file. I will not have the time to participate, but may the ghost of E. Gary Gygax kick me in the shins if I don't offer to help out.

I would love to go but my first baby is on the way the week after that so no way the wife would kill me and read the entrails. Oh well I will have to see them at GenCon.

Yes, you can choose a different benefit every level, but you may not change your favored class. You might even check out some of the alternate Favored class benefits in the APG.

Thanks I was thinking it was a one time choice.

Grand Lodge

Ok so I got a question can you alternate hit point and skill points for favored class? Like every even level a hitpoint and every odd level a Skill point?

Grand Lodge

So I am thinking about doing a Pathfinder Podcast. It would be more geared to the ruleset, Conversions, and world-building. Staying out of the way of the Canon of the published world. Would this be something people would like to see? Also maybe some interviews as well.

Grand Lodge

This is a great resource thanks. Are you planning on doing more then just this one?

Hey there everybody,

Just wanted to give a quick heads up. I am getting into the deep crunch time on release 2 now and as a result, I will be posting here a bit less often for a while. Note that I am still going to be reading the boards, but in the interest of getting release 2 put together, I am going to be curtailing my comments.

Keep up the good work everybody. I am really excited by all of the enthusiasm here on these boards. More to come soon.

I was just going to ask if anyone had heard anything about part 2. I am chomping at the bit to get my eyes on it.

Grand Lodge

I use Wal-Mart acrylics. They work just fine. I see know difference between those and the high end expensive ones from Reaper or Citadel. I mean Wal-Mart ones cost $0.93. For a bottle that is 2 oz.
Just my 2 cents

Grand Lodge

Hello I was just curious if the order I placed will be shipping at some point this week or not. I understand the power outage and what not that is why I am asking.

Grand Lodge

I am looking to put together a gaming group in the Far West Subs of Chicago. Those interested please post here. My group is in the middle of falling apart. Real life and all. I run in Eberron and My homebrewed world. Looking to play weekly if possible, Saturday's being best. Both myself and my wife play. Couples are more then welcome any level of experience playing is ok from novice to experienced. I can run as well as play. I have a few new campaign ideas floating around in my head just need players.

Grand Lodge

Well I am looking for players my current game is falling apart as well. If you are still looking give me a holler I live about 45 mins from aurora.

Grand Lodge

It might have been something that got cut before the ECS hit shelves and then someone had it with that in it. Happens from time to time.

Grand Lodge

Congrats! 2 pieces of advice that I got from someone married for 30+ years.

#1 Make time to play.

#2 Shower together as much as possible

Then consider your hat thrown. The previews magzine at my local comic book store showed that Wee Jas will be covered in the near future. I forget what issue it said, but I think it will be sometime this winter.

Hurray hurray. thanks for the heads up. I live in the middle of nowhere no game shops around me for like an hour or more of driving. So I find things out at cons and stuff like that.

There is a feat mentioned in Dragon #314 which is not mentioned in the article, or the 3.5 Core rulebooks. So where is this feat?

in Races of Eberron iirc

Grand Lodge

I think one of the nature gods would be cool as well. Though I do have to throw my hat in for Wee Jas as well.

Grand Lodge

also in a dragon issue there was one that used tattoos in place of potions. It was in Wormfood Free City stuff iirc.

Just to let you know, getting all of these shipments out is a very, very high priority for us.

For the past several days, Paizo's owners, CEO Lisa Stevens and myself, have spent each day in the warehouse getting packages shipped.

We even put Gary Teter, our lead programmer, to work in the warehouse all day Thursday, and then set him the task of revising processes to improve workflow and decrease turnaround time—and he's already rolled out system modifications that have noticably improved our fullfillment processes.

One of our biggest bottlenecks right now is that we've had more international orders that we expected, and customs forms for international shipments have to be filled out by hand, so when we get to international orders, our throughput drops like a stone. (And if an international order is over four pounds, it requires different paperwork that's even worse.) We're working to automate this process, but the bureaucracy is not easy to navigate.

Regardless, we believe that our backlog will be entirely cleared out next week. Thanks for your patience!

.

I feel the pain. I work for a tshirt company that you guys work with. We got hit with a slew of orders like 300+ once for a certain shirt. We spent 10 days or more just tring to get the orders out and we had 4 people working on it.

The newsstand release date for this issue is today. We should be getting our back issue stock in from the printer this week or early next and your order will be filled and shipped at that time.

Thanks!
cos

Ok thanks I normally get the issues from a sub or at a con so this is the first time ordering from the site for anything other then a sub.
