![]() > "As such, the minimal player options in [Starfinder GM Core], such as vehicles, are not available for purchase or use by default." Aww, there goes my dream of a Society soldier auto-firing off a hoverboard mid-combat :'( But seriously, thanks for the clarification, and best of luck working on Starfinder Tech Core and other SF projects :D ![]()

![]() Although I'd prefer more traditional chronicle sheets (and hope they come back eventually), this idea seems like a good compromise. Gamers get GM/player credit, Paizo gets data on what actually gets played/finished, and there's not much extra work that needs to be done by any party. Win/win, I'd say. ![]()

![]() Now that the first scenarios are out, I just need clarification on one thing: is the whole "Your character also gets to keep any treasure they find along the way" in effect? The official Lorespire Organized Play guide only states "[Treasure] items [found during gameplay] are available for use during the adventure", with no mention of PCs keeping them. ![]()

![]() Loving the new ancestries and backgrounds, and glad to see Lorespire updated with the new Organized Play rules. I'm already building out a new Lorespire Archivist Witchwarper That said, I'm a bit surprised that there doesn't seem to be Starfinder Provisions anymore. Hopefully a future season will see them come back! Having a supply of use-it-or-lose-it thingamabobs is part of what makes Society play so fun, imo ![]()

![]() My first concept is a "lone wolf" cyberpunk vlaka named Newvir Kor, a laser-heavy action hero soldier that also wields a fangblade. Has at least implants for telepathy and autorecognition, and more as time goes on. Also made him Prismeni with the Living Battery feat, to make sure he and his allies always have charged batteries before every battle. Specific to Invasion's Edge metaplot games, I built an android sniper operative Magpie B. who knows everything First Ones - they has the tech delver background, giving them Additional Lore for First Ones, plus the Android Lore feat to know about their most enduring accomplishment, and (through the Xenoarcheologist archetype) will soon get Delve Lore and make them even more valuable on expeditions in and around The Returned. I'm looking forward to seeing what gets uncovered! ![]()

![]() We now have the player's guide for the first season on Starfinder Society 2.0! What we're you expecting, and what surprised you? Discuss it here. For me, I'm surprised that we apparently won't get Starfinder Lore by default, given how many new backgrounds will give it to you instead. The playtest backgrounds seem neat, if not anything exciting. The new ancestries are interesting. Small climbing lizardfolk with a survivalist bend and LARGE four-armed tusk-people can lead to some interesting playstyles. I have my eye on a crafting-happy urban shobhad and cyberpunk-esque experimental ikeshti. Thoughts? ![]()

Do we yet know how many credits are awarded for a SFS 2.0 scenario, or the rules for downtime (particularly Earn Income)? Tomorrow is the first day we can run Battle for Nova Rush for credit, but it'll be hard to accurately fill out the Chronicle sheets without that information. ![]()

![]() I'm staring at the last line, with "Be the first to play Starfinder Second Edition by subscribing to the Starfinder RPG or Starfinder RPG (Special Edition) lines and receive a free PDF when your book ships!", when this clearly false. Starfinder Rulebook subscriptions are being charged and shipped right now, but the promised PDFs are instead linking to a dummy image with a delay notice. Such a shame when companies repeatedly advertise something they don't intend to fulfill. ![]()

Meh, Paizo isn't entitled to have people be content with delaying the PDFs, especially since all their communication has stated that it would be in our downloads once products shipped. For me, the main motivator for subscribing is precisely the early-release searchable PDFs, and I view the the physical release book as a discounted bonus. By nuking the early PDF benefit with zero notice, I'm not motivated to subscribe. It would be one thing if Paizo actually told customers of the very-intentional delay before charging us. But they chose to not do that, depriving us of making an informed decision that's best for our needs. Boo! Anyways, since my order hasn't shipped, I just emailed customer service telling them to cancel it and revoke my subscription. I don't want this scummy business practice to affect me any longer than it needs to. ![]()

Did Paizo also delay those PDFs without first notifying the customers? Intentional delays seems like something they'd want to make crystal clear ahead of time, especially when their order form/receipts state subscription products "will be in your digital downloads once shipped"... ![]()

![]() Do we know if the new season/version of Starfinder Society supports slow progression? The first 10 scenarios for the new Starfinder Society are all levels 1-2. Since it typically takes 6 games to get to level 3, this would normally mean creating a second character if we want to play all the scenarios. Slow progression (with half XP gains) would really be the only way to play all games with just one character, right? ![]()

![]() Obligatory ask: Will the first season of Starfinder (2e) Society be on Foundry? I want to GM more SF2e scenarios, both for my online Pathfinder friends and maybe Organized Play, and having a Foundry module would make that a lot easier! ![]()

![]() First off, glad to see this is getting a Foundry module:
That said, I'd really like Paizo to estimate how many session this is supposed to fill (or how many levels of play it covers). It's hard to rope in GMs or players if no one knows if it'll run 2 or 12 sessions.... ![]()

![]() Hi, newbie Pathfinder player here - how do I get PDF access to purchases made through FantasyGrounds.com? I bought a bounty adventure (#3, Shadows and Scarecrows) on Fantasy Grounds three nights ago, followes the instructions to sync the Paizo and Fantasy Grounds accounts, and at least have it so Fantasy Grounds knows which digital content I have on Paizo.com (and offers discounts on the FG modules). However, whenever I go to review my digital content on Paizo, the My Downloads/Digital Content doesn't have the bounty anywhere. I tried sending an email to customer service, but other than an auto-reply message I've heard nothing. What do I need to do next? |
