I'm not sure what the other players are using as their justifications, but in the Paladin's class description (and, indeed, every caster's class description), the Spells feature appears exactly once. Not once per spell level.

If that's not conclusive enough...

At 4th level, a warrior of the holy light learns to use the power of her faith to bolster her defenses and aid her allies. This class feature replaces the paladin’s spells class feature. A warrior of the holy light does not gain any spells or spellcasting abilities, does not have a caster level, and cannot use spell trigger or spell completion magic items.

Feature. Singular. If spellcasting was individual abilities for each level, there would need to be a plural, but there is not.

Just the class feature. The levels of casting are part of the one feature.

Thank you for the response Saethori. This is how I also interpreted the rules however a couple other players think it needs to be counted each time per level you are omitting. Can an official rep verify this or are you official?

I have a Paladin character. I am currently just the basic paladin and wish to become a Shining Knight/Warrior of the Holy Light combo. Anyways, my primary question after reading the retaining multiple times is, when abandoning my spells do I have to count each level of gained spells as a class feature or do I just count the class feature of spells 1 time to abandon?

I'm fairly certain of how to do the rest of the math just need this one question answered.
