Hello all :) I am new to this message board, but a big fan of the d20 system since 2000. I have a question regarding the space limitation of an item. According to the core book at p. 550 if an item does not take a body slot then its base price is doubled. Does this apply to all items, such as those that give a continuous bonus (ioun stone), or are some items excluded from this rule? Specifically, an item that replicates a spell effect once per day (but does not give a bonus or enhancement) and takes no body slot, has its base price doubled or not? Allow me to get a bit more specific and give the following example: Lets say there is a magical plate that upon speaking the command word it fills with food once per day. If the spell used was Create Food and Water (Cleric 3) and the CL was 5, then I believe pricing would be: (3*5*1800)/5 = 5400 gp. As the plate takes no body slot is the above price doubled to 10,800 gp or not? |
