Silver Crusade

Greetings all. With a little less than 2 weeks to go, I am starting to get really excited! I wanted to start a thread talking amongst ourselves about what we were thinking about bring into this game as well as asking Rob if there is anything else about character creation that we should take into consideration.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Andi has been a mentor to me, a friend, a GM whose talents are excellent and whose communication skills are unparallelled. I first met Andi right after we were both promoted to Venture-Lieutenant at DunDraCon in February 2013. She was taking charge coordinating the numerous PFS tables at the convention even though she did not volunteer for that job and at that point I knew that she was the type of VL I wanted to emulate. Throughout the years I have become close friends with her, asking for her guidance when I need it, learning tips and tricks to being a better GM as well as a better Venture Officer, and offering the same back to her whenever she might need it. In my opinion, Andi is the best type of person to represent the greater PFS community; a GM who has a great depth of rules knowledge, the ability to tell an enriching story through unique characterizations and clever role-playing, and the aspirations to create a community wherein we introduce the next generation into the hobby that we all love.

It is my distinct honor to introduce Andrea Brandt as Northern California's newest 5 Star GM.

Join me in congratulating Scott Kysh in getting his 5th star!

I met Scott for the first time about a year ago and was instantly struck by Scott's passion for Pathfinder Society and his enthusiasm for introducing new players to the joys of Pathfinder Society. Since Scott is an outstanding member of both the Bay Area Pathfinder Society and the Central Valley Pathfinder Society, it was my distinct honor to sit at Scott's qualifying table.

Scott tells a rich and engrossing story with wonderful characterizations and a deep field of rules knowledge. He rolls with the unexpected situations, that are bound to come up when a GM has a table of yahoos, with great aplomb. I'd be somewhat remiss if I didn't say that I hope that one day I can be as good of a GM as Scott Kysh!

He has done a great job helping build the various communities all over Northern California - from teaching new players at an after-school program in Turlock, to helping out at KulbaCon, to being an excellent example of a great human - he makes my job so much easier.

And with that, thank you Scott - for all your hard work and dedication. Congratulations. You've more than earned it.
