Ah. Thank you for explaining it. None of my friends could come to an actual conclusion on what it does, and I've tried searching the forums, but none of the Q's nor A's specifically addressed that topic.

I'm new to the monk and I'm confused by the differences between the skill description and the numbers on the flurry of blows chart.

For a specific example, here's what confuses me:
The ability states you get an extra attack at Monk lvl 1, then two extra at lvl 8, etc.

On the chart:
at Lvl 1, it shows -1/-1 (which I understand [(monk lvl - penalties)]

at lvl 8, it shows +6/+6/+1/+1 (which I'm not sure if I understand - two additional plus your two standard?)

but what I don't understand is that why, at lvl 6 (for example), it says +4/+4/-1.

Can someone clarify how many attacks flurry of blows gives? Do you just take the number of attacks as there are attack bonuses on the FoB chart?
