About Daven Durhurst

Nekare is, in her own mind, anyway, a perfectionist and an artist, and doesn't consider herself to be at all evil. Her one true desire in life is to reach the pinnacle of haute cuisine and share the experience with as many people as possible. She wants to connect and to belong, she's aware of her own talent and believes it to be the best if not only vehicle with which to achieve that. Her cannibalism stems directly from this, it has driven her down the foodie highway well past the last exit to gourmet avant-gardes.

She understands that society frowns upon the consumption of sentient creatures, but she believes that to be ignorant folly and an unreasonable deprivation of the senses, as the great side effect of intelligence is the huge range of emotion humanoids especially are capable of, emotions which, according to her research and experimentation, add a great deal of substance to the flavor of the flesh depending on what the meal was feeling when it was slaughtered.

Her Conjuration specialty offers as much flavor, no pun intended, as it does mechanical diversity since it literally gives her access to fresh meat w/o the difficulty of maintaining a stockyard, although she'd still prefer to have the latter as emotionally preparing a meal before killing it is one of her greatest innovations. Still, with access to the many delicacies the planes have to offer, dishes like braised leg of glabrezu and angel heart scampi become possible.
Her ultimate goal is to see a world where her accomplishments are honored and where food is not caged by petty, misinformed morality.

Bloodline Arcana:
Unlike most sorcerers, whose innate magic is powered by force of personality, you use your intellect to understand and master your mystic powers. You use your Intelligence, rather than your Charisma, to determine all class features and effects relating to your sorcerer class, such as bonus spells per day, the maximum spell level you can cast, the save DCs of your spells, and the number of daily uses of your bloodline powers. You gain a +2 bonus on all Knowledge (arcana) and Spellcraft checks.

Bloodline Powers:
False Piety (Ex)
At 1st level, a false priest gains Knowledge (religion) and Perform as class skills, but loses Appraise and Fly as class skills. He adds half his sorcerer level to Use Magic Device checks to activate spell trigger and spell completion items that use divine spells. He gains False Focus as a bonus feat.

In addition to replacing Appraise and Fly as class skills, this ability replaces the priest’s Eschew Materials bonus feat.

Lay Healer (Su)
At 3rd level, the false priest adds aid to his list of spells known as a 2nd-level spell. At 5th level, he adds remove disease to his list of spells known as a 3rd-level spell.

This ability replaces the bloodline spells gained at 3rd level and 5th level respectively.

False Channel (Su)
At 9th level, the false priest can use his own magic to power spell completion and spell trigger items that use divine spells. He expends a sorcerer spell slot that is at least 1 level higher than the level of the spell he’s trying to activate, then makes a Use Magic Device check. If he succeeds, the item’s spell occurs and the item or charge is not expended. If he fails, nothing happens. Whether he succeeds or fail, his spell slot is expended.

This ability replaces the bloodline power gained at 9th level.

School Power (Ex): At 15th level, pick one school of magic(Conjuration). The DC for any spells you cast from that school increases by +2. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by Spell Focus.

Air Bubble (2), Comprehend Languages(2), Obscuring Mist(2), Gust of Wind
