Liberty's Edge 5/5

Hello!

PFS games are posted for Epic Loot Centerville on July 3rd and 17th, and Epic Loot Springfield on July 10th. Head to our Warhorn page to sign up!

If a Core character has access to a non-core weapon on a chronicle sheet, can they take Martial/Exotic Weapon Proficiency with it? Are characters proficient in all simple and/or martial weapons proficient with simple/martial non-core weapons (found during a scenario or on a chronicle)?

Conversely, can a character with a boon giving them proficiency with a non-core weapon buy that weapon?

So I was looking through a few things in the good ol' Core Rulebook, just seeing how difficult and expensive certain things are. I've sort of been considering writing a quest, see. Anyway, I came to the conclusion that, unless I can justify to myself that the situation in the scenario involved:

  • the intervention of both an 11th level cleric and a fourteenth level wizard and
  • an expenditure of 15,000 gp (that's three hundred pounds of solid gold, folks),

then I probably
Spoiler:
should not include an animated object in said scenario.

Seriously. Fifteen thousand gold pieces.

On Sunday, November 15th Epic Loot will host the Season 3 special, Blood Under Absalom! Note that for this session we will be in the new Springfield location instead of Centerville as there is more space available. Head to our Warhorn event page to register. Email EpicLootPFS@gmail.com with any questions you might have.

What is required to run Race for the Runecarved Key? I've searched and can't find anything other than the requirement in the scenario itself for at least four tables.

Hi, I'd just like to ask if the spell Soothing Word, which comes with the Condition Cards deck, could please be added to the Additional Resources. I think it might have been overlooked due to its source.

The spell reduces the severity of certain conditions, such as changing nauseated to sickened. It's useful but I don't feel it's overpowered.

Sovereign Court

Tomorrow I'll be heading into Crypt of the Everflame with this character. She's a 1st level PFS character with 2xp that I've retrained.

The requirements for the Loremaster class are changed in PFS to include "any three metamagic or Spell Focus feats.” Does Greater Spell Focus count for this requirement?

So I recently GMed We Be Goblins. The sessions list for the character I assigned it to shows me earning 2 prestige points for it. Is this correct, or should I have only got 1 like the players?

Liberty's Edge 5/5

I'm currently GMing for a group including 1 experienced PFS player and several others with experience ranging from "some 3.5" to "never roleplayed." The experienced player has a second level character she assembled from First Steps GM credits. For their first game I ran them through a season 0 scenario, and due to time/organization constraints had them all use the same faction as the experienced player. For the second, I'd like them to pick their own factions (thanks to the new 1st level retraining rules).

What I'm looking for is a season 3 scenario, so there will be missions for the actual factions they chose. Can anyone recommend some with good faction missions in them?
