God no.

Makes you wonder what is happening to gamers these day, doesn't it.

Just to comment on this, I think it's people disliking having to play classes they don't want to just because there's a party "role" and it needs to be filled.

I like the idea personally, or something like it, such as every round during combat the fighter gains 1/2 his class level in HP back (min 1). (Hey, look a reason to stay a fighter beyond lvl 4...which isn't something I think Paizo has solved yet)

So, with the new fighter build, most of you agree and think that the new fighter version is worth taking to lvl 20, as opposed to what it was before, a dip class for 1-4 lvls?

While I applaud the changes to fighters to make them a full progression class...I'm curious to what people think?

Personally, I don't think the bonuses are what a fighter needs to be more effective "fighter"...I don't think they've ever had a problem with damage out-put and defences, but rather their ability to deliver sed damages and have powers that allow them to function better at 20th level.

So, what is other peoples take on this? Does the bonuses the fighter have make them now a 20 progression class?

I do think that some of the core classes needed powering up. In the case of the fighter, I don't think they did enough to power them up enough in fact.

Fighters have always been decent damage dealers, but they needed ways to deliver that damage(get to the enemie), take/survive damage (failed instant die spells) and ways to keep enemies from getting to their allies.

I'm hoping that the beta is still allowing for some changes.

1) While I like the changes to fighter, I don't think it solved the problem fighters have. Fighters don't need ways to do more damage, they just need a way to deliver the damage they can do.

Suggestions: An ability that allows them to move and still get a full attack. I don't think however this should be a feat, I believe all fighters should have this ability, and perhaps at later an ability that allows them to go through DT without problem.

2) Keep enemies from getting past them to keep them from getting to their friends.

Suggestion: Use the knight ability that makes the area around a fighter Difficult Terrain.

3) Fighters being front line fighters should have good fort but also good Reflex saves.

Suggestion: Also, like a rogue has Evasion, I think the fighter should have something that when they succeed a fort save, they take no damage, and when they fail they take 1/2 damage

4) I am not a fan of the combo feats. Most combat rarely lasts more than a few rounds, at which point alot of the combo feats become null and void.

5) With skill feats, I believe that allowing them to grant the bonus but also give both of the skills as "class skills" would be better as well.
