Not for an instant did Dantes consider giving up a wish. His eyes narrow a little with suspicion at those offering it, even his own captain. Perhaps he has been charmed? No matter. Dantes' mind reels at the possibility. Perhaps the cyclops treasure he's hunted for years? Or perhaps just the cleverness to find it and keep it...

Seeing the vicious wound that Faengrim inflicted, Dantes triggers his wand again, hoping the arcane darts will be enough to finish the creature.

Dantes begins to panic when he is suddenly so grievously injured. Before he can figure out how he's going to hide or flee, the graceful Riori is beside his relieving his wounds and his dread. He murmurs "My thanks: to the half-elf before he draws a second wand. Engaging its magic, several arcane duplicates of Dantes appear around him.

"Perhaps, but we still need to explore on the other side. I can cast a spell upon you that will allow you to fly for several minutes. Long enough to ferry all of us across the... suspect area." Dantes eyes the floor where Faengrim is indicating, not seeing the trapped floor that he seems to have spotted.

Proposing to cast fly on Faengrim. I am sure he is strong enough to lift us across one at a time.

Dantes poises to cast a spell when the captain indicates it is time. When ordered, Dantes will cast monstrous physique II, taking on the form of a cyclops. First, he'll try the door in case it is unlocked and unbarred. If it doesn't open, he'll pound the door a couple of times and say "Hey, let me in!"

Dantes reads the note in the cyclops language, and then repeats the message in the common tongue for the others. "You are to go west to the lookout tower and remain there until I send for you. You are being punished, remember that!" He looks at the others and says "It is signed 'Shaija'."

GM, does the name Shaija mean anything to us? Based on the size of the script, does it look like Shaija is giant-sized or more medium sized?

If this is the lookout tower, that means we could head east and see where they came from.

When we level up, I can take some steps to work that issue.

Steps:
For 11th level feat, take Additional Traits. For the traits, take Dangerous Curiosity and Clever Word Play. Add 8 skill points and I should get a UMD of +16 to use some clerical scrolls and wands.

Dantes points his wand at the uninjured triceratops, but does not utter the command word. Instead, he recites a spell, using the wand to guide it. A stream of sparkling dust streams at the dinosaur, blasting in a sphere when it hits.

Dantes tells his captain "I'll try to keep this one distracted. Help Faengrim take down his."

Dantes' first instinct is to cast fly to get above these creatures, but he quickly recalls he has already used that spell. Trusting in the brute strength of his captain and first mate, he darts behind his captain and augments Chumtooth's prowess.

Sorry Captain. I'm going to take a chance here that their fort save is no where near as good as yours...

Dantes hovers in place when he sees the harpies swarming his captain. Hoping to chase them away, Dantes utters the words of a spell at points. A noxious green cloud erupts from thin air, engulfing his captain and the harpies.

Casting stinking cloud, DC 17 fort save negates.

Dantes curses under his breath when the two start climbing. He waits below, hoping it will turn out to be nothing and he won't have to make his way up. But when Chumtooth sounds the alarm, he knows he'll have to go up. With a quick spell upon himself, he begins to float up to where the sound is coming from.

"Yes, I would agree finding the stone would be wise, it it does exist. But what do we do with him? He attacked us once. If we leave him here bound, he would be easy prey for anything that comes along. Unbound, he may threaten again. Perhaps bound and taken with us?"

Dantes sneers, implying the other choice; put the wretch out of his misery.

When the sound of battle abruptly stops, Dantes approaches the fallen enemy. "Huh. A man, down here? We didn't see another vessel. How long do you think he's been here? Do you think he's alone?"

I cannot seem to access the map. It is only giving me a "restore game" option, and I am reluctant to do that since I don't know if it will erase anything. Dantes moves away from the others, hoping his invisibility will protect him while his brutish allies make quick work of him.

Moving away to try and get out from potential AoOs.

Dantes clenches up when the jolt hits him, dropping him to one knee. He starts to recover quickly, aided by Carmelia's enchantment. He reaches out to his captain, sending through him an augmentation that should help him against a similar trick.

Using Augment ability on Chumtooth. He gets a +4 enhancement bonus to Dexterity for five rounds.

Hit points at 56. -14 from attack, +5 from Carmelia's effect.

The cowardly wizard in me wants to say 'no', but since I was doing a detect magic sweep the position makes sense. Unless a lot of time has passed, he should still be invisible. If that matters.
