History:
Dalton was a high school football star. Once rated the top Linebacker prospect in the country, he had a full ride to Northwestern. He thought he had it all. A beautiful girlfriend, Anna, great prospects in life, but that all went south in a hurry. At the beginning of his senior year he found out that his girlfriend was pregnant. This proved to be an understandable, but an ultimately unfortunate distraction to Dalton as he blew out his knee on the field while his mind was wandering. The injury would prove to be the end of his football career and also the end of his prospects for college. The knee eventually healed up, but not in nearly enough time for Dalton to resume his dream, besides that, he now had a daughter to take care of. During the interim Anna and Dalton had split but they remained in touch for the sake of their daughter, Christina.
To support himself, and more importantly his daughter, Dalton joined the police academy and eventually found himself as part of the Chicago Police Department. He found a home in the CPD, and genuinely enjoyed his job working his way up to sergeant.
East Chicago while not "technically" part of Chicago proper on occasion asks for CPD assistance with investigations. One such fateful night Dalton received that call.
The murder seemed to have a connection to a shipping company out of East Chicago (Lucian's) company. Soon enough witnesses seem to forget everything they remembered if that night and Dalton becomes suspicious as to what is happening.
He pays a late night visit to the shipping company and is discovered by the owner Lucien. Dalton finds the man odd and begins to dig into his past but can find nothing. Unnerved he seeks FBI assistance with the investigation from a Special Agent Shepard.
The next week Dalton finds an odd compulsion to return to the shipping company HQ. There Lucian confronts and Embraces Dalton. Ushered into the conspiracy of the Camarilla Dalton stonewalls Shepard and settles into his role of security for Lucien in Gary, he is also the contact for the wolf pack Archons of Chicago.
Dalton now makes enough to support his daughter, Anna and Christina both know that Dalton is around and he does his best to be there for his daughter whenever he is needed but tries to keep his distance given his current condition.
