"They did the opposite... made it so boring that when we entered we were like 'wait, is that it? No there should be something more'."

Dal blocks again, even if her shield is left in shambles again. She then strikes again and again with her axe, figuring that the sooner the thing dies the better. As she does so, Zaburb gives Nelus a proper retort. "Ye haven't seen herr naked ass, have ye pal? I'd eat herr too if I was possessing a differrent body... this f*!@ing worrm has a good taste..."

"Archa, if you don't mind answering this, but how much free will do you have in your mission for the Mother?" She asks, with care. "I mean, do you have dreams of your own and is this gift you received permanent or just until the Mother needs you to fulfill her mission?"

"Sometimes, specially when few people are responsible for the victory." She says, considering her choice of word. "I wouldn't say uncouth, but I can see how it could look uncomfortable. It is harmless, though, because even the more 'grabby' of them will not be stupid enough to wander their hands on someone who just killed a freaking horror, right?"

At the Graveyard

Dal slowly gets up as she regains consciousness, nodding to the women around her. "That creature was... freaking horrible. Is it really dead?" She asks, looking at the massive figure. "I don't mind chopping it into pieces just to make sure." She adds, making it clear her respect for the dead did not include deadly aberrations set to kill her.

"It got me real bad..." She says, looking at the shambles of her shield and the still flesh wounds all over her arm, torso and neck. Nothing was missing luckily. As she gets to her feet, something finally downs on her as she sees a dead guard nearby, rushing for him and looking at their face, not resting until she was sure her father wasn't among them.

At the Rowdy Rockfish

Dal was still staring at the mug in front of her, deciding if she wanted to drink it or not, when people came to pick her. "I'm good, thanks, but I'm good... I'm still too hurt for that." She says, grabbing her mug and following Archa. She looks at her, gathers some courage, and downs the ale.

Dal blocks the attacks once more and this causes her shield to break, becoming almost useless. "F$&&!" She curses, and looks at the guards as she chases the monster. "Can't ye f*@@errs lend me a sparre shield?"

She flanks the monster with Nelus, strikes and then raises her shambled shield again.

Without thinking twice, Dal charges forward at the undead fighting the guards, her worried look turning into a grin of excitement while she does so.

"Yeah, lock it for sure." Dal says as they descent to the ground floor again and as they discuss about returning to Otari, she points back towards the direction the boathouse is. "Earlier I've noticed something pretty strange in the boathouse... one of its doors has been forced open and then carefully closed again and the marks suggest this was done recently. Why would someone do that? The place is in ruins and half of it is collapsed, so if you want to get in, just move around it!"

Remembering that the boat belonged to someone associated with the Osprey club, she wonders. "Could it perhaps be an initiation rite? Like come to the spooky lighthouse, sneak past the drake, open that door and then spend the night... if you do all that you are in."

Dal is thoroughly uneasy with the whole thing, specially because it was way outside of her comfort zone. "Neither do I... I also don't like how this tower seems new, when it certainly isn't, and also all that blood."

As Gretta announces the place above is locked, she suggests. "Perhaps instead of forcing ourselves into this new mystery, we could venture beneath... perhaps we'll find more clues about this tower. The gremlins did marked this place as 'stay out', so perhaps we should be weary as well."

Dal waits for the others before opening the door to investigate the place. Despite not having seen any creature so far, the fact that the gremlins marked this place with the word "Bogey" makes Dal more than cautious.

"Hum, lets check two areas we've left behind us." Dal says as she leads the group outside and when they are out of Tangletop's hearing distance she adds, while also looking for any sign of the drake they've spot earlier.

"We don't know what we are looking for yet, so the source of Wrin's fear could very well be there, and I'd rather not leave potential threats behind." With that, Dal peeks inside the room marked as "bogey" from the windows.

Dal retrieves the spyglass from a pouch and tosses it to the brownie. "Here... but remember that we are giving you the item and not only three parts of it, so if you discover more secrets about this place, we'd like to know it. The full secret."

Daleranna picks up the spyglass and pockets it while the others discuss about the gem, shaking her head as her consciousness slowly returns. She was about to suggest to just break the stone, but she decided not to. Better stay quiet and have others think you are stupid, than saying something and others be sure of it. She could hear her father's saying.

"Well, if the soul inside is not the real soul, there is no problem, right?"

Not knowing what the creature was, Dal keeps her grip on the axe despite Gretta's eagerness to cuddle with it.

Upon Archa's warning, Dal draws her axe and looks around, frowning. "If you believe trying to trick us will do anything good to you, think again."

Dal makes sure to peek inside the crumbled dinning room as they pass by, looking for the mentioned "bogey".

She then instinctively raises her shield at the drake's appearance and only lowers it when it appears to have vanished. "We were lucky it did not see us, but I bet we'll have to deal with it sooner than later. So, this was the 'dragon' the gremlins were talking about..."

As the others worry about the campfire and boat, Dal moves around the old boathouse just to check for more clues, always keeping an eye towards the direction the drake flew away.

"Probably wasps or bees." Dal tells the others. "Do you have anything to deal with swarms? Otherwise we should leave this for later."

Dal approaches the frog with care, picking up a rock and tossing at it just to make sure it is indeed dead.

Convinced it was indeed dead, she shrugs and moves past it to take a look outside of the fort, trying to see the outbuilding, but failing at that as well. She turns back inside and walks towards the southern door and trying to hear another clue to the "buzzybuzz" that was supposed to be inside.

Back into the large and main hall, Daleranna waits for everyone to get closer to her before raising her shield and opening one of the doors.

"If we are checking everything, then there are also those other doors to the west of the main hall." She says, opening the closed door to the south just to confirm it leads back to the large hall. "Hum, good news is that we can totally avoid that huge scorpion."

Dal shrugs at Gretta's suggestion. "I'm not against that."

As they explore the secret room and the surroundings, points out to the wall back to the north. "I think we are missing something there... I feel there is a hidden room there, since there are no windows towards the west from the main hall of the temple."

She then points to the door to the south after consulting with the gremlin's map. "Hum... the gremlins did not draw this room... lets take a look?"

"Dead and undead are very different things... I'd not bury my axe in your head if you were sleeping, but if you come at me with your hammer, that is totally different." Dal says. "The dead deserve our respect... I've learned it the hard way, and we respect them by letting them rest and by vanquishing the evil energy that was causing them to move again."

Dal frowns at Gretta's suggestion. "That would be utterly disrespectful and I'll take no part in this. We should be burying them properly and make sure their spirits cross to the other side... not anger them."

Sadly, disrespecting corpses is anathema to Dal, causing her to lose some of her abilities. :(

If there is no wounds, perhaps with was a magic trap, or poison, or... poison trap?"

It takes a couple more moments for Dal to recover, but then she considers Nelus suggestion and something seems off. "Hum... something... oh, right, I don't think the ghosts are really what we are looking for."

"So, unless someone came here, died with unsolved issues..." She shrugs. "It is possible, but I think these ghosts here are more likely to be as old as the ruins."
