Healer's Blessing (Su): At 6th level, all of your cure spells are treated as if they were empowered, increasing the amount of damage healed by half (+50%). This does not apply to damage dealt to undead with a cure spell. This does not stack with the Empower Spell metamagic feat.

If I multi-class into a bard do the cure spells from the bard enjoy this boost?

Am I required to take a feat when it is given to me?

example: At 1st level a monk may select a bonus feat.

Does that mean I have to take it at level 1 or can I wait till level 2 to actually select it?

How do people feel about having to create a backstory for your character? I know I like have a sense of where my character has been and where he/she wants to go.

Do you think your DM/GM should use your history for in game experience?

Is a backstory necessary for any character? I know I believe so, how else does a goblin rogue party with a Fetchling Paladin.

I realized as I was making a new character for a campaign today that the longest and hardest issue I have with characters is making their backstory work. Does anyone else experience this?

We are able to create spells in our Pathfinder Campaign. First off I am playing a human Wiz/Rog who focuses on Color Spray. So far we are working on an advanced Color Spray spell. Increased levels so on and so forth. One idea I proposed was to create a spell that does damage to creatures that are affected by my illusions spells.

We bantered back and forth about the level of the spell, the damage done, etc. so far this is what we have come up with.

Mind wrenching Illusion
Level 2 spell
S,M,V
Range 15'cone
Will Negates
SR Yes

Any creature affected by one of your illusions feels as if their head is being torn apart.

Creatures within a 15' cone that are affected take 1d6/every 2 caster levels (Max 10d6). If a single creature is targeted that creature takes 1d6/caster level. (max 15d6)

The DM increased the spell damage because the spell is dependant on another spell.

Please let me know your thoughts.
