Again this is so good. I can't wait to get my party to this series after we finish our current AP.

This. This is what was needed to kick this game off. Nicely done!
Starfinder Superscriber
OK that's 100% perfect there
Starfinder Superscriber
The playtest cannot release soon enough. I am really stoked for this!
Starfinder Superscriber
Cool, is part of the Starfinder subscription, I was going to ask, but you listed it. I'm happy about that!

I have to agree Book 2 lacked a lot of linking, BUT it kind of made sense. Party had no real idea about why someone would take their NPC of the week, or why the NPC of the week was strange, and when the Big Bad Boss did her monologue, the lowest Int character walked it and was like "Huh?" Which I thought was perfect for the scatter shot linkage in that book.

Great news. I'm happy to read this

I mean, hey Aaron, any more look into subscription options for modules? I spoke about this with my VP recently. Turns out we have tech issues in the way. I know, right?! This old code prevents so much. But please don't blame the tech dept. So, we want to, but can't yet. So.... we are working on it. Argh. I suppose we just have to be patient and wait. Do you know how hard it is to be patient?

I hit one of the many day 1 bugs (iGPU issue on a laptop) so I have to wait a few more days for a patch to play. Character creation is mostly fun, few races freeze the system, but I can't WAIT to play my divine hunter with her pet Triceratops....

Ok so glad to hear that pre-orders are getting the pdf, still want a subscription here.... ;)

It's a great book. It's mainly DM focused, but there are a TON of new options for players as well as spells, equipment, fusions, tech toys, things that PCs tend to like. I for one am quite happy with the new book.

Aaron Shanks wrote: CorvusMask wrote: I do still wish that still means that for first year we will be getting adventure every other month :'D
Like if the plan is to alternate between adventures and oneshots, that does mean there is no currently plan for "level 1, level 4, level 7, level 10, level 13 and level 17 adventure", but that would have been really handy from from my perspective for
1) intermission games(especially since I like having those at higher level) 2) for "we can run this module post ap for few levels before doing homebrew(or just two modules for entire level 20 experience) 3) for the "we could run six modules that cover all levels as sort of episodic mini ap :'D Thanks for you input. The team is still producing something every month. I can't say that is that exact level pattern at this time. Aaron! We still want subscription options on for adventures. It'll be so much easier than actually having to look every other month to add them.
AND YES I AM LAZY, deal with it!

Aaron Shanks wrote: Thanks all. Product decisions for 2021 have been made, of course. The Marketing Pollster in me is inquiring.
Yes, I meant, "do you want these modules to use maps from the (still separate) map subscription?”
I will say that there is product experimentation happing this year and we have not revealed all. The Powers That Be may not offer a SF Adventure Sub right out of the gate. Or they might. All will be revealed in the fullness of time. We have months before a decision is needed. Adventures Ahead!
I would like to see the map packs used in the modules. That'd be great. Also I wouldn't complain if there was another map subscription. But still, I want a subscription option.

In Starfinder fashion, we are exploring and experimenting a bit in 2021 and want flexibility. Aaron, let me join the call for requesting an excellent standalone adventure subscription. I would subscribe, as would many others. Please open this up for subscriptions!
Hmm It is being discussed above my pay grade. Rest assured your interest has been communicated. Aaron, Aaron, Aaron, we need subscriptions options here.
Or we will keep typing this to you...

I introduced the entu symbiote (the nelentu, specifically) in Starfinder Society #1-29: Honorbound Emissaries. It was awesome to revisit and build on the idea for Alien Archive 4. Glad you enjoyed, and hope you get a chance to build a character with them! :) I GM, so I don't get to make PC characters, but I am using the HELL out of them in my current "Galaxy High" game when the students get out on their field trip.

On the online discords its the defacto virtual tabletop. If there's a game there, the default is its on roll 20. If you're looking for a game you can wander into a roll20 game on accident.
Roll20s advantage for players: low set up and easy to grab and go, means that it's easy for players to set up the adventures, bur harder to monetize. Unless roll20 is going to produce a scenario cheap and the week the scenario comes out it's an easy hour or 2 to set up.
I moved my group to roll20 so I am deep in the DM side on this. :)
I am really hoping that Paizo makes a few more of the books VTT-able (is that a word? It is now) as I could really use the COM, Equipment, and AA books. But I will keep hoping.
Starfinder Superscriber
Anyone else using Roll20 for your Starfinder games? Is anyone else kind of sad that there aren't more Paizo resources for it? We only have the core book and Alien Archive 1. Are there plans to put more up there?
