Backstory:
The Rauka'ateepa were a primal people. Barbarians, some called them. All because they refused to throw away the reverence of the natural world. The cultures in the valley had decided that was the direction life would go for them. But not for the Rauka'ateepa, the followers of Rauk. Their way was to live in harmony with the land and to destroy the enemies of the natural order.
Raised in the 'capital' settlement of the tribes, Varuk was born the son of a tanner and a hunter. His parents were devout in their honoring of the great Rauk. It was the goal of many warriors to match the exploits of the once-tribesman and ascend to divinity the way Rauk had. His parents had the same aspirations for their son.
One night, on a trip to one of the smaller camps, a warband of orcs and serpentmen attacked in a raid. Varuk's parents were killed fighting off the attack, and Varuk made his first kill that night. The boy was sent to live with his uncle, a priest. He raised Varuk in the faith. When he was about to undergo the manhood trials, Varuk discovered that the attack when he was younger was only made because a traitor had given the guard details to the beasts in order for enough gold to move to a civilized land.
This infuriated Varuk. Not only had that caused the deaths of many of his people, but it was against everything Rauk stood for. He would have his judgement! During his trials he hunted down the warband that had attacked the camp and killed them all. Earning his name Beaststalker. He decided then he dedicate his life to the faith and hunt down enemies of Rauk, starting with the traitor. He packed his things and headed for the valley lands, to begin his search.
