Right, I'm wondering if this works, it looks like it could be chained together but I'm wondering if there's something I am missing...

First of all my bard who is a level 5 dirge bard so has Haunting Refrain whom has spellsong and enforcer as feats from ultimate magic and advanced players.

My bard makes an attack with a merciful weapon and thus deals non lethal damage. Triggering enforcer. Enforcer says:

Whenever you deal nonlethal damage with a melee weapon, you can make an Intimidate check to demoralize your target as a free action. If you are successful, the target is shaken for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt. If your attack was a critical hit, your target is frightened for 1 round with a successful Intimidate check, as well as being shaken for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt.

Now, the bard has Haunting Refrain which say's:

At 5th level, a dirge bard is able to stir primal terrors in the hearts of listeners. He can use a Perform (keyboard) or Perform (percussion) check in place of an Intimidate check to demoralize an opponent, with a bonus equal to half his bard level. In addition, saving throws against any fear effect he creates are made with a –2 penalty, and this penalty increases by –1 every 5 levels beyond 5th.

This would mean that having hit I am triggering a free action intimidate which I can make a perform check in place of.

Finally, I have spellsong which states:

First, you can conceal the activity of casting a bard spell by masking it in a performance. As a swift action, you may combine your casting time of a spell with a Perform check.

I really am not entirely sure how this would work... and whether 'in place of' allows you to activate them. But This would use a standard a free and a swift action to hit someone, intimidate someone and cast a spell..

If it doesn't work can someone suggest why and what bits of it would work if practicable :)

Thanks,
