Hmmm. I guess a question would be a matter of severity. Is mere physical contact enough to make things explode or do I need to apply effort. If something was set on top of my hand for instance would it be fine?
I love the idea of the ground quaking and craking under my feet :D I hadnt thought of that :D
I imagine it would make me very easy to track and should probably impose a stealth check penalty from the sound. That and I imagine people wouldn't like me walking inside their houses ect.
I figure I would need everything I own to be crafted of adamantine or somesuch (or better yet, invulnerable adamantine) and even then I would still get wear and tear on my gear as I would also reduce its hardness by 15. I would need a magic item of some sort that can cast mending or something similar (thinking an intellegent item). This sure would add up cost wise! What do you figure price wise to Make ordinary items out of adamantine? I'm thinking something like 1,000-2,000gp per pound.
Also, for simplisitys sake, want to say cloth is exempt? (That way I can wear clothes :P something like, it is hard to crush cloth between your fingers)
The interactions between him and other people would be half the fun! A good hearty pat on the back would be a bit too hearty, a handshake might break the other persons hand and he could quite easily kill someone accidently (and the reprocussions of it will be played out). As for riding a mount, I hadn't thought of that but I guess it would come back to is mere contact (or weight) enough to cause damage?
I think it would be a real memorable character if you would be willing to work with me on it and iron out the details, it would also become extra work for you as item hps would need to be tracked :) I also think a playtest of it would be importaint and I can drop it if nessisary.
Just to let you know, I am for sure going with a Breaker Barbarian 20, Oracle (of something) 5 with the wreaker curse. I am now trying to decide if I want to go unarmed strike (smash with fists, hulk style) or two handed weapon (thinking piston maul, get loads more damage: P).
Say, would you be alright with the Deadly Strength 3.5 flaw?
Basically I am so strong I accedently crush things I touch :P
I was also wondering about having it extend to objects as well. True overwhelming strength that accedently crushes everything. I don't even know if this would/could work. Your thoughts?
Truely I would need invulnerable adamantine gear just so it had a chance of survival :D
Hahahaha! I hadn't seen that before ^-^
I might just have to steal that ^-^

Hey intrest! That makes me intrested!
As for planescape, I know nothing about that bu I do know about planes hopping, qnd if I recall, a while back I was reading up on this mysterious underlining dimention that connected them all together and was very obscurely veiled in pathfinder lore. There was a whole article about it somewhere, I will have to see if I can dig it up :)
The delving into the astral plane to find the remenants of a dead god sounds like sweet fun :D
Here is a good example of how I figure an ideal setup would be. It has links to the revelant battlemap and you can also put up a folder for any pictures or lore or anthing of the such in. One thing about it being able to be modified by all of us is that those who are good with images can help you pretty it up :)
As for the Asterion, I figure that ship has sailed :( (Sorry! Once I have an idea I stick with it, but that also means that once I drop an idea its usually gone -_-)
Having said that, what I would go with would be a barbarian Breaker 20, Oracle 5 with the wreaker curse. (I seem to have this thing about high level martials :P)
The basic premise about him is that everything around him just kinda crumbles to pieces and he is a bit of a klutz (a really strong klutz...).
Ya, Crash/Gobo Horde here.
My character got voted against (wanted to play an asterion) and I had a real hard time creating something new, what with the percieved lack of intrest from the GM. If this thing is willing to start up again, I am more than willing to build up someone for it :)
I also just finished building up a monstrous 20th level Gestalt character (found Here) so I both have the time needed now and good experience building high end characters :)
I would love it if someone answered the call XD
BTW I also am very malable when it comes to shaping the game or rules or even in helping out with world/rules creation if that is needed. Feel free to ask!
Well l have another idea now, I am thinking of a dwarven paladin sacred shield (and possibly oath against fiends) 20, Stalwart defender 4/5. He would be quite durable and make everyone within 20 feet of me very durable. I am talking about everyone taking only half damage, gaining +9 shield bonus and regeneration 10, as well as making them all unkillable against the target of my smite (via regeneration).
I could still have a 1 level dip in there instead of the 5th stalwart level. Not sure what yet.
Thanks to acediamond for the inspiration! keep up the suggestions!
That dawnflower dissident idea was real neat, made me think of a Rakshasa sorcerer/dissident/veilled illusionist. The ultimate illusionist/liar :)
Except we already got lots of casters... lots of them :) so I will look at something more martial ;)
Well, if I can get past an alignment issue, I had the neat thought of going stonelord paladin 5and druid 20. Stonelord for access to the earth elemental pet and then I would stay as a permanant earth elemental:) we would be twin elder earth elementals :D I would be melee focused and be very strong (see a theme here :P)
Other then that I am currently looking through the PRCs and seeing what's there.
So despite trying I just can't get behind crash again :( after giving up on him I just can't get back into him. As such I am going to create someone entirely new, so I can get excited about him again :)
So my question is what is everybody going and what classes are they going?
I don't want to double up on anybody or step on their toes so to speak :)
Wait, Would I be able to play a minotaur??? If so, that would be awesome!!!
K that I can work with :)
@AceDiamond
Its alchemical allocation. as long as everybody is ok with a little sharing and indirect kissy-kissy, everyone takes a swig of alchemical allocation and a swig of the communal giant form. Same idea with the true resurrection. pour an alchemical allocation down a dead guys throat and then the elixir of life. "victim" then coughs up the elixir and volia!
When I can cast true resurrection as a 2nd level extract, death is a trivial setback, even if we die in combat, it is of little lasting importance :P
Just par for the course for being high levels.
As for healing, My asterion would be a level 24 alchemist (with advanced template) or 25th without (did we ever get the template thing sorted out?). he can literally grant everybody giant form (aka 1200 or so health regened) as a second level extract, and he will have lots of those (if I really cared about it, I could also extend it :P). OOC healing can easily be dealt with by me so long as you are willing to all be giants for a while :P
The asterion that I am building up would greatly profit from the demiplane network and would be willing to contribute quite a bit to the cause, maybe 70k? I will have to think about it more but he will defently invest :)
We could always be known as the Order of the Epic Stick :D
Alrighty! Glad to see this next step done :)
Btw good job there pirate on getting everyone into one big post. It is very helpful and I imagine it would be appreciated by many :)
How goes the new thread? Is it: up yet?
Hey I am also one of the main players here! I have been from the beginning.
I do have a question for you Herald, are asterions allowed? I have both a human fighter and an advanced asterion alchemist in the works and I would like to know which one to focus on :)
Monkeygod wrote: I found a Dragon-blooded template, which is a 3pp template that is very similar to Celestial/Fiendish.
I gain a +1 to Natural Armor, Darkvision 60', Low-Light vision, and Str and Cha +2.
It gains a couple of other things, but they are rendered pointless via my class levels.
Would it be ok to take this template? Since it doesn't gain any scaling powers, I figure it would be a +0 template, much like the other ones its akin to.
That sounds fine to me, I would also probably consider it a +0 template, it is lots weaker than advanced and the vision/armor you can easily get via items.
I would say quote the whole template and point out what parts are made redundant here so we can see the whole picture, but I figure its the least of our worries right now :P
My guy also has no template, pure human :)
I'm ok with the planar tourny as long as it doesn't turn into to much pvp. It would just be rocket tag at this level: P aside from that I think it is a great idea for "containing" this game into something managable :)
Hmmm.... I am thinking of switching to an asterion alchemist, if it is ok to play one. Why do I always gravitate to alchemist?
Skuldas stats reminded me of the theory crafted Asterion alchemist I was thinking of for a bit there :)
base 18 str, 2 racial, 6 level up, 6 belt, 8 mutagen, 2 ragechemist, 6 inherent, 6 favoured class bonus, 2 size bonus, +2 couragious weapon and why not? add in a level of barbarian for 4 extra :)
60str always and 64 when raging XD
Base 16 con, 2 racial, 6 belt, 8 mutagen, 5 inherent, 6 barabarian, 2 couragious weapon.
45con :)
Plus he gets 12 natural armour bonus for his mutagen :D
he would be one sturdy dude :) I might build him up a bit instead of Crash, I will have to think about it :)
120ft blindSIGHT? Wowzers... How did you get constant Greater Arcane Sight?
Still thats pretty impressive :)
So I figure my guy has better senses than even Tony Stark...
He has: 180ft Darkvision, 4x Low-light Vision, Double Normal Vision, 20ft X-Ray Vision, 60ft Blindsense, 20ft Blindsight, All-Around Vision, Sent, Can See All Invisible and Etherial Creatures Within 120ft, constant deathwatch and 65 perception (can be boosed to 95 via a potion of acute senses)! He will literally see everything, the only senses that I can find that he doesnt have is lifesense, see in darkness and trueseeing :D

Character Name: Crash
Character Title: The Hammer
Race: Pure Mundane Human
Flavor/Backstory: As a boy Crash dreamt of being unparalleled under the heavens, to be the master of combat and to be undefeatable. After many years perusing this lofty goal and focusing on it to the exclusion of almost anything else he has reached that goal. There has been no martial foe to date that could match him and he grew dissatisfied with it. He withdrew from the world and lived a hermit style life for the last few decades, living a quiet, hermitic life picking up a bit of alchemy and tending to his pickles. While he has been incapable of magic his whole life he has developed a sixth sense and awareness unparalleled by anyone. Nothing moves without him noticing it and he has claimed to be able to spot an invisible creature 500 feet away with no difficulty. Yet his experiments and travels have changed him physically. He now hides his eyes underneath a blindfold and the question remains. Whats under the mask?
He has heard of a legendary group assembling and he is wondering if he might have a chance to find a chalenge once again.
What kind of Campaign you want.
Planes traveling sounds good. I would be up for finding immortality/godhood. Despite the fact that my guy is a melee focused character I would be fine even if there was not much combat, if there is however, my guy would shine.
Level of experience (years/games/etc)
I have been doing pathfinder for about a year and a half? I was introduced to 3.5 for a year or so before that. I have been playing computer games ever since I was a kid (around 15-18 years ago) and have played plenty of other games, LOL, DOTA, Civ, Titan Quest, Red Alert, Empire, Warhammer/40k, cards of all sorts, pokemon (way to much pokemon...), ya. lots.
I do have a great system mastery of Pathfinder and am currently in a lvl 20 game right now. Of the other games I am in, I have 3 support characters and am loving them because there is always something you can do, and you can make others look better :) I understand that a great amount of teamwork is needed for this game, even more so with high levels otherwise everyone does their own thing and the game quickly looses steam :(
So we are going with 150% on doubled items? That will save me a few thousand (not much, possibly 10-20k?) Which is good as I am over right now :)
As for the stones, I am just going to take the ranks in heal and be done with it. I don't mind implanting them for you Eben :) just be aware of the time it takes. 8 days fasting, cha check or start over, 1 hour surgery then 1-2 days recovery, 1-6 days recovery on a failed check and have to do the surgery again :)

Eben TheQuiet wrote: I paid full price (plus the necessary +50% to have the less expensive ones crafted onto the most expensive ones). is there something mechanically illegal about doing so? Or do you just not like people stacking 3 rings into 1? I thought we had to pay double cost for any equipment we couldnt fit on? AKA the other 4 rings had to be double cost? I know that the regular rules is 150% but I thought we were doubling it here. Did that change?
As for hiring a doctor, an experienced doctor would cost 5-10gp/day per stone. He wouldnt be able to take 10 on the task so expect to have to pay for a few days worth of services and the necessary ability to remove con damage.
I am leaning toward making sure I can make the heal check myself :P Then I could do the whole thing literally for free at the cost of a lot of time :P (I figure 2-3 weeks or even a month per stone).
As for the bow, and I would have a similar problem, Even with a +5 bow, I would only have a to hit of 30-35 or so and would only do 1d8 +20 damage? Without the feats and extra resources a novice archer is just not going to cut it at these high levels. Especially once you add in say DR 10 or even 15 and the turns are wasted and completely ineffectual. I have thought about throwing my weapon, if I took the two-handed thrower feat I could even do it for more damage and only as a standard (so I could move). I would take -4 to hit and it would take a full round action (without the feat) but at least I could call the weapon back to me so I wouldnt be disarmed. Right now I am leaning towards just trying to jump :P
Oh ya, I imagine I will have a truly horrendous survival skill :) +12! Racial, +6 skill focus, +3 morale, 25 ranks + any other modifiers for a total of 46ish :) Total overkill but fun ^-^
I figure I can feed an army of 20 or predict the weather a week in advance. More fun then functional XP

As for Crash, he is far from finished :)
I made a copy of Sparkys datasheet and have been using it as a guide to create Crash so things like the eye of nymeth is a holdover. As for feats while I do get a truely horrendous amount I do have to many, I just grabbed the ones that I liked and have yet to trim them down. I should still get 11 for fighter, 13 for levels, 3 for human, alertness from tumor familiar, throw anyhing and craft potion from alchemist, endurance from green cabochon ioun stone and weapon focus/profeciency from white pyramid in wayfinder, total of 32.
I have yet to add in armor so that number should jump up quite a bit when I add in +5 mithril breastplate and Ammy of natural armor/bracers of armor (whichever ones stack, I don't remember atm).
As for ioun stones, I get +5 comp bonus for fasting and +3 morale bonus for a total of +11 and since falure has no downside apart from starting over, enough retries and I will eventually get it. As for the heal check, I haven't decided if I will do that myself or pay someone to do it for me. I am also debating paying more for onyx rhomboids simply so I have more stones implanted accross my body :)
Sadly eldritch heritage does not change my type so racial heratige is needed, I still need +1 cha for greater eldritch heritage so I will probably have to get a tome for that.
Stats are a bit of a mess right now and probably innaccurate, once I am done fiddling with them I will go over them and finnalize/correct them. I currently have +12 inherent from orc bloodline progressing past 20 and robes of arcane heritage. If ruled that it doesn't progress I will change it and ditch the robes. I also have juggernauts paldrouns for always on enlarge person. Any temporary bonuses like mutagen have not been included in the numbers.
While I can deal significant damage I will be relying heavily on teamates to actually get to the enemy :P
All in all it is still very raw and only partially written but once finnished I will submit it for scrutiny and then check out your guys.

As for my guy, he is a fighter, that immediately pidgionholes him a bit :P I am playing him as a pure mundane human in a world of dragons and archons. No advanced templates, no spells (well, he gets 2nd lvl extracts but that was unavoidable). This purposefully leaves him reliant on party members for things that he is unable to do, no independant gods and all that. In the other campaign I am in Goro the oracle can chuck out DC 35 spells without doing all the shinagins to boost DCs. To increase your chances of resisting Rorges intimidate you need at least a 50 will save. Sparky can see an invisible creature standing still with 20 pts remaining BEFORE rolling.
My point? Take a look at what you are good at and see what it would take to have a 50/50 chance of resisting/surviving to get a guage of your power.
As for the ioun stones, there is no real loss fore failure, you just try again next week. I like them because it is kind of like body art and prevents the swarm of ioun stones surrounding your head.
And more optimistic ones as well :P
This is a generic post being sent to everyone that I am currently playing with
Hey everyone. This is Crash/Gobo Horde here. Due to the flooding happening here in Calgary and me supposedly going on vacation (which may or may not happen :P) my posting for this next week might be sporadic and lighter than normal. Sorry for it, but such is life :) If you need to, feel free to take control of me and I will pop in when I can.
Thanks ^-^
Eben TheQuiet wrote: Does the inherent strength bonus from Greater Eldritch Heritage advance again at level 21 and 25 for a +10 total?
Also,Crash is awesome. :)
It would appear it would D: it is a class feature progressing at even intervials.
Also, I am loving crash as he is coming together :) He is a martial human in a band of dragons and solars and sorcerers supreme (he can only cast 2 second level spells). I wonder how he will fare :)
Of course if he does hit you, you are blind, deafened, anchored to the spot and, well, screwed. I also love how he has all these gems implanted all over his arms, back and forehead, and I am thinking of making one of them intelligent ;D
Lol, on the other hand the GM is probably really happy with all the enthusiam!
This here is Gobo Hordes submission :D Crash of the Hammer! His name is Crash, his title is The Hammer. It goes well together. Shrug.
He is human, 99% martial and quite melee focused. He is no where near done and lots of things need to be changed/added but this should give you an idea of him!
