Nessius is definitely a warhorse-bred centaur. With thick muscular flanks and an equally powerful torso, this centaur looks like he could fight for hours and carry more than his own body weight in gear. He is clad in a shining breastplate and leather straps, helm, bracers for his arms, and metal leg guards. Around his equine half is a leather strap and blue cloth skirt, studded in bronze rivets. There is no saddle on him; it is demeaning for a centaur to bear human passengers. However, a finely tooled leather harness holds a masterfully crafted lance where he could easily draw it. A bronze gladius hangs at his human waist.
