I have an encounter for my next session, and would like to get this cleared up before they fight this a creature. I have them fighting the creature linked below. He has chains for arms that have "and trip" attached to his attacks. My question is does the creature have to sacrifice damage on a hit to trip or is to just tacked onto whenever they hit?

I am in the planning stages of a campaign and have a player asking me for a ruling for a problem we'll face further down the road. He wants to know if, with combat style master, he would be able to start in crane style, switch to pummeling to bypass DR, then switch back to crane to receive his AC bonus.

From what I understand is that even though with CSM feat, and changing styles being a free action. That after he finishes a full round attack he would not be able to use a free action to switch stances. Is this correct?

I am currently planning a homebrew campaign for a group of about 6. While chatting with one player he has given me insight to just how much he has researched and optimized his monk. I looked into CR 15 monsters to see if there were ones that could even handle his monk when he is around level 15 as well. What I came to find out was that he is damn near untouchable with his AC and they stand no chance against his offensive capabilities as well.

As a GM how do you get around these types of groups or certain players? Do you just increase the CR by 1-2 levels or do you look for certain types of enemies that will attack his few weaknesses? This is only my 2nd or 3rd campaign and first ever homebrew so I'm looking for any advice I can get

A friend and myself are looking for a DM and a few more players to round out the group. We have some pretty weird schedules so we are looking for people that are available either late sunday night (11PMCST-ish) or mid-day Mondays. Would be playing on roll20, and we are flexible between 3.5 or Pathfinder really.
If you are interested or flexible with those times you can either PM me on here or skype me at tj.sayre

We have a solid group of players, that have been playing together for 5+ years. Our usual GM is itching to get back into playing a character. So thus we are looking for someone to run a campaign or two with our group. We are a very laid back, almost casual group. Obviously looking for someone that is the same as that. We are looking to play 1-2 times a month, maybe more, maybe less. Generally around weekend nights.

If you're interested in, or want to join. Feel free to reply here. Or send me a private message!

Thank you :3

Here's a quick rundown. It's been over a year since we have played, due to the fact that our DM has been over seas in Iraq. He is coming home within the next two weeks, and we have set up a session to quickly dive into. Unfortunately I was kind of forced (but also offered) to play the healing cleric so we didn't run around dying every where.

My question is, how do people generally build clerics that they enjoy playing the game as. My current build in my head (still in my head, since our GM does not allow the rolling of characters outside of Pathfinder sessions).
Dwarven Cleric - Level 1
Diety Sarenae Sun/Heal domains
Level 1 feat: Selective channeling
Alignment - Neutral

My plan with this character is to take a fighter level at level 2, so I am able to buff him into someone that can take a bit more damage (being able to wear heavy armor with a tower shield). With something as the feats going like this
Level 2 bonus fighter feat - Power Attack
Level 3 feat (from here on out i'll be taking back into my cleric levels) - Cleave

I'm hoping this way i'll still be able to have the healing power to keep my allies alive while still being able to tank/deal a little bit of damage and having fun.

What other ways have you been able to have fun and enjoy your campaign while you were stuck (or chose to be) the band aid box of the group

Edit: Forgot the group make up
Barbarian
Fighter
Ranger
Monk
Bard
Wizard
Cavalier
Cleric
