Participated in Siege of the Diamond City @ Gencon (7-8 tier); 1st part was a blast, the repetitions in the 2nd half less so -- but that's for a different place.

Here's the question:

Spoiler:

"5% discount on magical items that require a spell with the Good descriptor" and Holy weapons: how does this work with the way weapons are upgraded in PFS?

Example: I have a +1 weapon. I'd ultimately like it to be a +3 Holy weapon.

As I see it, my options are as follows (and yes, I may be over-thinking this):
1) the Holy modifier and all subsequent upgrades receive the 5% discount (a +1 Holy, +2 Holy, and +3 Holy weapon all require a Good-spell in their creation). This results in me getting the Holy enchant early, because there's no reason to delay (the sooner it's Holy, the sooner I start getting discounts)

2) only the Holy modifier gets a discount. This results in me getting the Holy enchant last when it's most expensive (get the +3 before the Holy).

3) the Holy modifier and any other modifiers added at that time receive the discount. This means that I should stay with my +1 until I have both the cash and the prestige to jump from +1 to +3 Holy.

From a role-playing perspective:
Armorer: "Hey, Bob wants to exchange his current weapon for a better one. He's got the cash and we know and respect him well enough to think he'll use the weapon appropriately. He was also involved in raising the siege, so I know we give him a discount on Holy weapons. What do we tell him he owes us?"

Bean-counter response:
(option 1): is he getting a Holy weapon? 5% discount

(option 2): is it his 1st Holy weapon of this type? 5% discount

(option 3): is the old weapon non-Holy and the new weapon Holy? 5% discount

Obviously, I'm hoping #1 is how this is supposed to work, and I think it most beneficial as it is most likely to result in more Holy weapons in the field... but I'd rather ask than guess.

Thanks for the time!
