Asking Radovan for a blessing since he has 3. Holding on to mine for barrier-busting with Firesnake (I think Scott confused Veil with All-Seeing Eye). I never do the following, but this guy's a beast: discarding Wayfinder to add d8 Poison bite.

Sure, didn't need the bite. Anydice had a 65% success w/out it.

I did not draw an attack spell (my favored card type is Spell or Blessing, and I always pick Spell), so if I hit a shark I'm toast. Plan is to scout well (using my cards, obviously) before exploring.

Scenario 6D is the fourth at tier 6 for Celeste. She gains a card feat. I'll take Ally.
Adding Ally 2 ally Grogul from the Pathfinder Tales deck. He's a Half-orc Pirate that is basically just a combat buff (d6+Swash). [This is how I play Magic:The Gathering, too: I keep solving the problem I had in the last match. Then the situation doesn't turn up again for many matches, if at all.]

There's no way at this point to recon the Brineborn Giant damage to Celeste. I was so certain of the ruling that BYA only damaged one character that I charged ahead - if I knew all 3 of us would take 3 I would have used Autumn Witch to evade. As it is used all but 1 card in in my hand I think (maybe all but 2). My pseudo-retcon will be: I will leave the 3 cards Grazzle healed in my discard. (That's a kludge, I admit, but there it is. If my freeing up an Ally 6 means he would take the Ally 6, then I'll take the Spell 6 instead (dropping Aqueous Orb, my multi-check spell, for Ride the Lightning, a far better multi-check spell, albeit with the downside of an Electricity trait).
If wkover wants to stick with the Weapon 6 he has, then I'll pass on the Spell 6, and instead drop Ally Alaeron for Ally 6 Autumn Witch.

Ok. Took me a moment to figure this out, but I think it plays like this:
When I encounter the Pirate Bomber, I play Cloudburst. This ignores the BYA power. For me. Under the oft-cited principle when you're told to ignore something, you are the only one who ignores it, Radovan happily suffers d4 Fire damage, which Norge lets him treat as 0, and gives him another random monster (# unknown) display, this time for Norge.
Add my Blessing of Pharasma to the check.
Combat 22: 3d10 + 3d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 6, 9) + (2, 4, 1) + 5 = 33
One soaking, fried, dead bomber.
Shuffle Cloudburst into my deck.
AYA: Bomber does d4 Poison damage to Radovan and me as parting gift. Radovan makes it 1 less.

Two is perfect. Discard Spite Cloud and Blessing of 7th Veil.
