I have Cassandra Blackmoore, a Changeling Oracle of Life, to submit but I would need to know the build rules as there is nothing posted here.

Unfortunately my laptop has taken this opportunity to take a dump. What started out as just a few keys not working correctly progressed to half the keyboard going out and finally to it not working at all.
Best Buy was worse than useless and for what a local shop wants to charge me I might as well buy a new one, which is exactly what I'm going to do.
I should be up and running again this weekend.

Still here, just waiting to see if we need to roll up a new party or will the calvary arrive in the nick of time.

I'd like to submit Cassandra Blackmoore, a Changeling Oracle of Life for consideration. She's currently 1st level and a 20 point buy so I will work on reconfiguring her to meet your requirements.

Going to throw Cassandra Blackmoore, Changeling Oracle of Life, into the mix.

For your consideration: Cassandra Blackmoore A Changeling (Green-Born) Oracle of Life with the Tongues (Aklo) curse.

For your consideration, Cassandra Blackmoore, Changeling Oracle (life).

I'm going to submit Cassandra for your consideration. She's been in many Carrion Crown adventures, none of which made it out of Ravengro (I'm beginning to think it's me).

Cassandra looks up from her reading, horrified "Do you really suggest breaking into a tomb in broad daylight? What if we were to get caught? Half the town already thinks that the Professor was a necromancer, what would the other half think if friends of his, strangers in their town, were caught desecrating a tomb?" Cassandra's mismatched eyes bore into Ulfric "From what I've gathered from reading these books the Whispering Way has been here and have gone. They've taken something...or someone from the prison and have gone on their merry way. Given the manner of Professor Lorrimor's death, they had a hand in it somehow. His skull being crushed wasn't just some freak accident, it was a deliberate attempt to keep from communicating with him after his death. A signature move of these vile people."
Taking a deep breath she attempts to get a grip on her anger "The Whispering Way has had more than two weeks since the Professor's death to move against Kendra and they don't seem like the type to wait for reinforcements arrive before they strike, so I believe they have moved on from here. The only thing we need to fear is the townsfolk's reaction to strangers in their midst. So to that end I suggest we visit the temple first thing in the morning and talk to this Father Grimsburrow and tell him what we've learned and ask for his permission to examine this forgotten tomb for this cache. If he doesn't believe us or for some reason doesn't give his blessing we can always visit this tomb under the cover of darkness, because no self respecting person would be caught dead visiting a graveyard at night."

Cassandra removes a pile of books from one of the library's chairs and then goes over to the shelves and grabs some books before returning to the chair to read. She will spend the rest of the night researching The Whispering Way using Professor Lorrimor's library.

Cassandra listens to Ulfric describe each book before placing the bundle back into the chest and unconsciously wiping her hands on her skirt.

Cassandra picks up the remaining bundle of books and turns them to read their spines. She looks to Cat as she gasps at the last book "What is it?" she asks.

Cassandra lays a hand on Kendra's shoulder "Mistress Kendra, it would be an honor and a privilege to stay here as long as you need me to." the young girl tells her. "Your father helped me, helped all of us I'm sure, and it's the least I can do to, in some small way, repay his kindness."

Cassandra approaches the graveside and sighs. Clearing her throat she begins to speak "I met the Professor several years ago. He came to my village after I had suffered a brutal attack by a creature of darkness and spite. I not only survived the attack but managed to drive the creature away. This piqued the Professor's interest and he came to my village to talk with me about my experiences. He found me a confused and frightened young girl who was scared of the powers awoken in me that night. He told me to not be afraid but to embrace what had changed in me and to use those powers for the Light. Before he left he gave me a couple of books." Cassandra pauses to issue a little chuckle "he always seemed to have books with him, to read. It was those books which guided me. Though I never saw the Professor again, we corresponded over the intervening years as he followed my life and I his. It is a great sorrow that I will never get the opportunity to speak with him again."
As Cassandra finishes her speech she bends down and picks up a handful of the disturbed earth near the gravesite and saying a quick prayer to Pharasma tosses the dirt over the casket. "Farewell, Professor. May the Lady protect you now."

"Necromancy?, impossible!". Cassandra thinks to herself, shocked by the accusation. Stepping in front of Kendra, Cassandra approaches the mob "What is the meaning of this? You men ought to be ashamed." She removes her glasses and stares at the men daring them to meet her gaze, then in a softer tone she continues "Gentlemen, please! Can you not see the pain you are causing Mistress Lorrimor. The young lady only wishes to inter her father in holy ground as the Lady Pharasma would have it. This is neither the time nor the place to air your grievances. Please let us pass."

"What an eclectic group of friends the Professor has... had." Cassandra thinks to herself before extending her hand to Ulfric "I'm Cassandra, Cassandra Blackmoore. I too was a friend of the Professors. I just wish we could have met under happier circumstances."

Cassandra blinks her eyes to adjust to the sudden light, despite the clouds, as she emerges from the coach. Taking a silver from her pouch she pays the driver before he flicks the reins and gets the horses moving again.
Picking up her bag she looks around the village square. As she spots the old coonhound lounging on the gazebo's steps she smiles a wistful smile.
Pulling a pair of smoked glasses from her pocket she settles them on her nose, the better to hide her mismatched eyes from strangers.
After asking one the villagers for directions to the Lorrimor's house she makes her way as quickly as possible but not before catching the man making a gesture to ward off evil spirits.
As she approaches the house she spies a young man standing, nervously, on the porch. Smiling warmly she asks "Are you here for the Professor's funeral as well?"

Cassandra's eyes adjusted to the sudden light as she steps from the coach into the village square "I'm late! Had the coach not broken a wheel I would have on time to pay my respects to the Professor before the internment." Adjusting her smoked glasses on her pert nose, to better hide her mismatches eyes, she approaches one of the villagers to ask for directions to the Lorrimor residence.
Proceeding on despite the strange look from the man when she inquired about the Professor's house, looks she was used to receiving, she arrives outside the house. After running her fingers through her raven hair to straighten out the past three days of travel she runs her hands down her skirt to undo the wrinkles that had settled there from being cooped up in a coach for so long.
Satisfied with her appearance, she hesitantly raises the knocker on the door and proceeds to knock softly.

I'd like to submit Cassandra Blackmoore, a Changeling Oracle of Life, for your consideration

Cassandra's role would be that of Healer, of course, but also Buffer.

Dark Secret:

Cassandra was attacked by a Shadow in the woods but only after meeting her "Mother". She refused the Hag's offer to join her nad her coven and fled. The coven sent the Shadow after her to weaken her and return her to them. They didn't count on awakening her potential, although that has only made them more intent on returning her to the fold.

For your consideration, Cassandra Blackmoore Changeling Oracle of Life. A foundling raised by local farmers. While attempting to answer her "Mothers" call she was attacked by an undead shadow which broke her bond and awoke her oracular powers.

For your consideration. Cassandra Blackmoore, Changeling Oracle ( Life ).

Sorry all, what with the craziness that happened last week it has only driven home the point that I have once again overextended myself with my games and need to cut back.
James, thank you for keeping a spot open for me and I seriously regret leaving. You have my sincere apologies but it's better that I leave now before I get too emotionally involved with my character and the story progresses too far.
I wish all of good luck and good gaming.

Sorry for the unexplained absence all. But I had the perfect storm of personal coincidences coalesce last week. Last Monday my Mother-in-Law, who has Dementia, forgot she had taken her evening medication and accidentally retook them. My Father-in-Law, who also has early onset Dementia, called 911 and the result was an overnight stay in the hospital. They currently have a caregiver who is with them from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but apparently need 24 hour care. Both adamantly refuse to move off the farm where they live and into any sort of assisted living facility so my Wife and I have been searching for some live-in caregiver.
Even though we live almost 200 miles away we are the closest immediate family to them and have been trying to conduct interviews over the phone while we rely on various Aunts and Uncles to keep an eye on them.

Coupled with that is the minor inconvenience of an app that I downloaded two weeks ago not shutting down properly and running in the background of my phone, sucking up over 5.5 Gig of my 6 gig wireless data plan. While that may not seem like a big deal I do about 80% of my postings at work using my phone's hotspot for my laptop.

Good news is that we seem to have found someone who my In-laws like that is willing to take over after their morning caregiver goes home and stay overnight until the next morning starting this Monday. All of my wife's family, including an out of state brother and sister, are going to be visiting the family farm to celebrate my wife's and her twin brother's 50th birthday this weekend and to discuss the current situation, so I won't be on very much this weekend starting Friday. Also I get a fresh packet of data starting tomorrow and should be able to begin posting from work again.

If you still wish to remove Cassandra from the game please go ahead I can understand. There would be no hard feelings (Hell, if were me I would've already removed myself).

Thank you for your understanding.

Sorry for the lack of posting recently but the 4th of July weekend is usually a busy time for me, what with the holiday itself and 3 family birthdays within a five day span (my daughter's on the 3rd, my wife's on the 5th, and my sister's is on the 7th).

Cassandra approaches the graveside and sighs. Clearing her throat she begins to speak "I met the Professor several years ago. He came to my village after I had suffered a brutal attack by a creature of spite and malice. I not only survived the attack but managed to drive the creature away. This piqued the Professor's interest and he came to my village to talk with me about my experiences. Oops, didn't know this thing was on.

Cassandra's hand covers her mouth as she reads the letter in stunned silence "The Professor gone? Seems impossible. she thinks to herself. She empties out the envelope and stares at the coins "I'll need to hire a coach to travel to Ravengro." She packs her meager belongings in a satchel and says good bye to her parents before leaving.

As she emerges from the coach Cassandra blinks her mismatched eyes at the sudden brightness from the coach's gloomy interior. Barely snatching her bag from the ground before the driver wordlessly starts the coach moving again she looks around the village square. Noticing the suspicious stares of the onlookers Cassandra fishes a pair of smoke lensed glasses from her pocket and places them on her pert upturned nose, to better hide a telltale part of her monstrous heritage, before smoothing her peasant blouse and skirt. Running her fingers through her raven black hair she approaches one of the villagers, smiling sweetly before asking "Forgive me, but I have recently arrived in your fine village as you know and am looking for the inn. Could you be so kind as to tell where that might be?"

The morning of the funeral, Cassandra dresses in a black dress and pulls her simple holy symbol over her head. Settling her glasses on her face she heads for the local temple. Offering her own prayers for the safe rest of the Professor's soul during the ceremony, Cassandra glances furtively over to the front row noticing Kendra standing alone in the pew reserved for family. After the ceremony Cassandra approaches Kendra "My condolences, Mistress Lorrimor. I wish we could have met under more pleasant circumstances. I am Cassandra Blackmoore, I had the honor of meeting your father a few years ago. He came to my village after I had suffered a horrendous attack and he helped a confused, frightened girl make sense of everything that had happened to her and for her to find her way in the world. For that I am eternally grateful. He will be missed."

Cassandra joins the other mourners at the back of the procession and marches along, lost in thought. Startled out of her thoughts when the procession comes to a halt she looks up to catch the exchange between Kendra and who she assumes is the leader of the mob blocking the way. "Necromancy?, impossible". Stepping out of line, Cassandra approaches the mob "What is the meaning of this? You men ought to be ashamed." She removes her glasses and stares at the men daring them to meet her gaze, then in a softer tone she continues "Gentlemen, please! Can you not see the pain you are causing Mistress Lorrimor. Sorry all for the lack of posting but this week has been a bear. What with problems at work and my daughter being down with a cold for a few days I found myself with little time to think, let alone post. Also with this being one of the first nice weekends of spring I've been doing more outdoor chores (pulling bushes, powerwashing my deck and fence, etc) and when I get a chance I will sit down this evening and try to sort everything out and catch up.

once inside Cassandra removes her glasses revealing eyes of two different colors, one green and one violet "Thank you, Mistress." Cassandra bows her head slightly to acknowledge the others "Your father was very kind to me and helped me come to grips with a very traumatic experience and if there is anything I can due to help you through this trying time please do no hesitate to ask."
Somewhat taken aback at the Tian man's sudden theatrics Cassandra stammers "Y,yes your father and I often kept in touch after his visit to my village. It was through these correspondences that I came to view what happened to me not as a curse, but as a blessing in disguise"

Cassandra walks down the street finally arriving at the Lorrimor residence. Reaching reluctantly, almost timidly, for the knocker Cassandra knocks upon the door and waits for someone to answer. Once the door opens she begins to speak "My apologies for the intrusion. My name is Cassandra, Cassandra Blackmoore and I was a friend of the Professors. It was with great sorrow that I read your letter and learned of his passing. I came as soon as I could and hope that I am not too late."
Entering when bidden Cassandra follows her host to the parlor where other mourners are also present. Nodding to the others she thinks to herself "The Professor always had a unique taste in friends, myself included."

I appreciate the heads up on your playstyle. It shouldn't be a problem for me, but there are some on these boards that may not be able to get into an R rated movie yet so it's good to be upfront with this.

Background:

One morning while tending their meager farm a peasant and his wife were shocked to hear the plaintive cry of a baby coming from the woods near their home. Cautiously approaching the tree line they were shocked to find a basket containing a beautiful raven haired baby girl. looking into the girl's mismatched eyes the young wife, despite knowing the old tales, fell in love with the foundling. They named her Cassandra, in honor of the man's deceased mother.
Years passed and the beautiful baby grew into a beautiful woman. When Cassandra reached puberty she began to feel a unique pull towards the woods near her house. One night, after her parents went to sleep, she snuck out of their cabin and entered the woods following the voice in her head. Shortly she felt a malevolent presence following, stalking her. Growing more afraid she began to turn around and head back to the safety and warmth of her home. Suddenly from the darkness ,a deeper darkness struck her and knocked her to the ground. As she lay there a formless shadow enveloped her, chilling her to the marrow and draining the life from her.
Suddenly she felt the icy fingers recede as a warm light grew from her soul. Miraculously that light and warmth reached out and transfigured her into a being of pure energy. That energy burned the creature attacking her, causing it to flee in pain.
Returning home, Cassandra began to babble incoherently in an unknown tongue to her parents about what had happened, eventually she calmed down enough to explain. Soon everyone in the village knew about her encounter and how she had escaped. For a while whenever she visited the village, the villagers would make signs to ward off evil causing Cassandra great despair. Despite this Cassandra began using her talents to heal those in need. Over time she began to realize that she could extend that inner warmth to effect others around her.
Soon the villagers overcame their fear and accepted the young girl's gifts. After a while a strange man arrived in Cassandra's village and began asking about her. Directed to the Blackmoore homestead the man, a Professor Lorrimor, began asking Cassandra all kinds of questions about her encounter with the creature and, taking a good look at the young woman, about her childhood. After several days of questioning the Professor told young Cassandra that the creature she encountered was a shadow, a malevolent undead spirit, which drains the strength and life energy from it's victims. Astonished by her escape, Cassandra asks the Professor questions in return. Seeing her interest in learning more about how to fight these abominations, the Professor gave her one of his books on religion and religious lore.
Over the next two years Cassandra and the Professor kept in touch via letters, until one day she received a letter written in a strange hand. The letter was from the Professor's daughter saying that the man had died in a freak accident and had requested Cassandra's presence at the reading of his will.
Taking her meager belongings and hiring a coach to take her to Ravengro, Cassandra has finally arrived at the Lorrimor family home.

or Cassandra

I'd like to add Cassandra for your consideration.

Female Changeling Oracle (Life) 4
Character Information:
[HP: 27/27]; [Armor Class: 21; Touch: 12; Flat Footed: 19]; [BAB: +3; CMB: +3; CMD: 15]; [Saves: Fortitude: +4*; Reflex: +4*; Will: +6* (+2 v. death effects)]; [Initiative: +2]; [Perception: +1]

Cassandra peruses the library looking at the various books on the shelves before taking one down to read. Each book she looks at leads her to another and yet another as the hours pass. Finally with a small stack of books next to her she rises, wipes the sleep from her eyes and excuses herself as she climbs the stairs to her room.
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 2 = 22

Can we use the 'Aid Another' action while studying the books? Like, say, Cassandra is reading one book while the Professor is reading another and the two are 'spitballing' information back and forth?

Davor, using a library to research takes up to 1d4 hours. Unless you're willing to invest 20-80 hours in research "Take 20' is out, although 'Take 10' should be perfectly feasible.

After the others leave the library Cassandra will pick up the other books in the chest and will look them over before returning them to the chest. As the rest of the mourners entertain distract themselves Cassandra will sit in the study rolling the name 'Whispering Way' over and over in her mind.

Cassandra sits demurely on the settee sipping, having never acquired a taste for hard liquors, hot tea watching the others talk about their encounters with the Professor. She smiles wanly at Professor Faradir as he overlooks her presence in the room.
She is about to speak when there is a knock at the door. As Tamarie opens the door, Cassandra rises as the Councillor enters the room. As the Councillor and Kendra exchange greetings Cassandra notes the undercurrent passing between the two.
Sense motive: 'Take 10'+4=14
As the others gather around the table for the reading of the will, Cassandra stands in the background watching the others while listening intently to the articles in the document. Her eyes widen slightly as Councillor Hearthmount reads the sums waiting for them in Leipstadt "Such a princely sum for something I would gladly due for free."
Knowledge (nature): 'Take 10'+6=16
"He updated his will recently, as if he knew there could be trouble and wanted his daughter looked after. Always looking out for others rather than himself."
As the Councillor looks disapprovingly around the assembled group Cassandra locks eyes with him, her mismatched eyes to his, until he is forced to look away.
Charisma check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

After the Councillor departs Cassandra begs off the invitation to play cards "Thank you, no. It's a game I never learned to play." Turning to Kendra Cassandra inquires "Mistress, do you know were this chest your father wrote about is?"
