I turned to Elysriel. "Such a sorrow tale you have, may Ra's light shine and protect you." But was a prayer enough? Either way I couldn't help but think of what to do next."It definately seems that we were destined to unite, the four of us. But perhaps there are others who could not make it to our congregation, or perhaps they are still out there..." I pondered the thought for a bit more, staring into the nothingness that was the black shadows of the outside window.

" Forgive my behavior just then..." I said with a great burden behind my voice. Perhaps this was the best time to explain myself. " I come from a small village known as Shira hidden in the sands of the great desert in a not too far off land. The people are poor and thirsty, we have been living in a 20 year drought. Many.... many have died of thirst, hunger, and illness, including my sister... I couldn't bear to watch anyone else suffer so I headed for the ancient temples and pyramids that lies dormant and untouched buried below Shira. Our people would tell their children stories of kings who would wear gold and platinum like linen and wool, stories of wealth beyond our wildest dreams. Wealth that my people needed. As I searched deep inside the temple of Ra, Ancient God of the sun, dodging traps and jumping various pits and chasms, I came across a sword. I drew my sword. It was lying upon a pedestal in an empty chamber. As soon as I touched the hilt of the sword a burning light shined upon me, and all of the knowledges and secrets of the desert rushed in my mind, changing me. I no longer felt human but instead one with the sands. Then a whisper came to me. Go to the west, there you will find salvation for your people I didn't know whom it came from but I wasted no time, I returned to Shira and gave them the other treasures that I found and told them to seek them and that I would be leaving for awhile to seek answers.

Who was this mystery man? I pondered to myself. Wondering whether or not we should trust helping a stranger, yet I knew that it was the right thing to do. But I did know that our surroundings were dark. I unsheathed my longsword and layed my hands upon it. A light shined out of my hand and upon the sword's blade. The blade then began to glow as bright as a small sun.

I have a STR score of 13 and all I am carrying is my sword, bow, quiver, and waterskin. I'm not sure what my drag weight wouldbe. "I apologize Elysriel, I can be a bit too humble sometimes. In my homeland being generous is a rare thing." I said before turning my attention to Ryker. "Perhaps you could assist me in carrying this man? I sometimes forget my own limits when I'm in my normal form. I would use my ability to transform once more but it would be short lived."

"Ryker you are too kind! I'll be ok!" I said hiding the fact that I was badly wounded.
As the light from the magical wand surrounded me, I started to feel better. My wounds seemed to close. I was better, yet still in a pretty bad shape, but still able to fight by my friends. Thank you Ryker! "I can carry him until we head to someplace safe. There could be more of these things. Or worse... " I went over to lift the man in cloaks. I wiped and sheathed my sword as my body started to return to its original form. I quickly hurried to Ryker to see his condition. "Are you alright friend?"

With a craggy voice I spoke out "Let's kill this beast!"

Whoops DM informed me of my error, I thought those provokes were on me.Also I keep forgetting about my DR/5. my current HP is 13. I understand that kind of makes a mess of the situation, I am still willing to be prone although I shouldn't be considering that I would not be knocked unconscious to help prevent us from going backwards a few turns.

I am to assume that the presence I felt was the cloaked figure? As I saw the man draw near towards me and my allies I quickly stood firm in preparations to attack, but his demeanor did not seem threatening, at least for the time being. I took his words with a grain of salt and proceeded to ask my fellow travelers. "Do any of you know who that man was? What a strange event that had just transpired. But perhaps we will encounter stranger and more hostile. Let us be wary and make due haste."

"What purpose do they serve dead in the streets! And who are you speaking of?"

I couldn't help but gaze outside the window, while everyone was discussing and eating and relaxing, I couldn't help but feel ashamed that in my lands we would have a festival in the rain to celebrate Gozreh's blessings. But alas, there had not been rainfall on our sands in over a decade. And as the rain fell down onto the ground, so did my tears. "Forgive me, but I must step outside for a moment."

I stood from my chair and said to the mayor, "Sir, if it would be alright I would like to patrol the slums once more. Perhaps there were more clues to be found, or perhaps... Excuse me for seeming delusional but, that night we slayed the killer I noticed something strange. There was some other presence by the murderer's side. It was invisible to the naked eye, but with my gift I could sense it. It was small whatever it was. We live in strange times and bizare and magical events have unfolded before us. Perhaps there is more than one killer."

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 As I began to Cautiosly scan the woman that stood before me, I cocked my head to the side in a laid back posture and greeted the woman. "Greetings...I am Casimir of Goza village. I see you have met my friend here Ryker."I glanced over to him nodding. "He may come off a bit odd, but he means well. This man's mere presence can inspire greatness!" I turned over to the prince, my posture shifted to a more firm and serious one."Have you seen our feathered friend anywhere? I figured he was with you?" Lily: The man standing before could not be older than 25, you could see it in his tone and spry behavior. The air around him seemed dusty. He wore a thin linen scarf around his neck and covering his mouth above the nose, perhaps from cover during sandstorms as he appeared to be from the desert sands far away. He carried a ornate blade sheathed on his right side. The decorations on the sheath appeared ancient in lettering man had not read in centuries. He also had a bow and a quiver on his back. He shifts his eyes at your tome in curiosity.

DM: I spoke to the mayor about the incident of which transpired that night. "My allies and I were tracking down that killer for you. We found the man and cut him down. That boy in the cell is an impostor of sorts. Or perhaps some sort of distraction. I would make great caution, sir." and with those words and made my way back towards the Inn. |
