She casts a Shield on herself while she waits for the fightery types to head upstairs and then follows them up.
Shield: 1 minute (10 Rounds) duration. +4 Shield Bonus to AC (AC=14). Stops Magic Missiles.

Caliope follows the woman and notes that the other speakers are moving with her as well.
When they get to the house she enters with the others, but pauses inside to introduce herself and Theruska.
"How should we handle this situation? I am thinking that we send the more martial members in first and myself and any practitioners of the mystic arts should follow. Once we have asertained what dangers lie ahead, we can then more accurately determine a course of action."

Caliope nudges Theruska and nods towards the other militia members.
She then turns back to the woman and says, "fear not woman. We shall endeavour to help your family escape from whatever predicament they have become entangled in. If you would be so kind as to furnish us with the details we would be only too happy to assist you."

No problem. Most of the Feats won't come into play for a few levels yet.
The gist of the Domain Specialist Wizard is similar to a School Specialist Wizard and is basically this:
She gets 1 extra spell slot/level that has to be taken up by a specific spell (there is a list which only has 1 spell/level, which are added to your spells known as a bonus at each level). No opposition Domain. That's it, pretty simple. I'll post the specifics of the Class in the Profile as well.

Making small talk with Theruska on the way:

"So do you think this wine cellar could have contributed in some way to the Goblin attack? I wouldn't think that a wine cellar would be cause for a visit from the militia."
She notices the commotion caused by the crowd and pauses to make sure that everything is alright.
"Is there a problem here people? Woman, what causes you distress?"

I am just finishing the last of Caliope's stats right now and wanted to ask you a qestion about her Class.
On p.57-58 of Unearthed Arcana it list a type of Specialist Wizard called a Domain Wizard. I was wondering if it would be alright for me to make Caliope a Storm Domain Wizard? Other than that she's pretty much done and I just have to find time to get her stats uploaded to the Profile.
Oh and just checking, I am able to draw Feats and Spell selection from any WotC source, right? Specifiaclly Complete Arcane for Feats. I haven't fully decided on Spells yet (it's one of the last things to go, along with equipment).

No 900gp? hmmm... that puts a crimp in my spending spree. Have to put those designer shoes and handbag on layby. ;)
