My plan is to convert The Emerald Spire Superdungeon!!! There are a few creatures that will require some prep work but I'm looking forward to running it.

Even if you have trepidations about the flag-bearing hand, you can get a MW buckler on your main hand that you use your weapon with, which lets you get a shield bonus on any turn you don't attack. Probably worth the gp for when you don't hit people.

Sounds like Force ward is just a trap ability then, because its going to always be worse than the burn your taking for it. Might as well replace it with kinetic healer that way you start at 0 burn for the day and expend 1 to heal for quite a bit.

The reason that force ward is so good is that the temp hp regenerates over time. So long as you get hit and regenerate more than 3 hp in a day (based on the 15 temp hp), then you are benefiting from it at level 6.

I am about to start a Kineticist in a homebrew. What percentage of the class was changed from the playtest? I realize I will have to remake, but wondering how how much. PMs welcome if someone can help me transition a little easier until I wait for my FLGS to get it in.

Choose an Elf. Wield an elven thinblade and an Elven longblade, if your DM will allow it. 1d6 18/x2, 1d8 18/x2 - count as rapiers for feats - kind of OP, but could be discussed with DM to just take a feat representing your special training with said weapons to be able to use one set of feats for them. But even then it's almost an exploit of some patched together rules.
